Re: Midnight Sacrifice (5:20pm May 1, 2013):

That's terrific, Carla. LOVE IT

Re: She Can Tell (3:02pm December 4, 2012):

That's amazing, Danielle. I've heard of dogs being trained to alert people to oncoming seizures, but for you untrained cat to do it is incredible. That's one smart feline!

Re: She Can Tell (8:12am December 4, 2012):

Peggy, we have 2 cats and 2 dogs. They all add warmth and love to a house. Good luck to you and your new kitties!

Kai, I LOVED the James Herriot books! The PBS series based on him was also wonderful. I laughed when I read your cat taught you to relax. Cats are exceptionally good at that! Thanks so much for sharing your story today.

Jane, thanks for stopping by. I hope you enjoy the animals in my books.

Re: She Can Tell (7:04pm December 3, 2012):

I loved that story, Alyson! Big Red by Jim Kjelgaard was another of my favorites. I always say you can tell a lot about a man from the way he treats animals.

Re: She Can Tell (4:28pm December 3, 2012):

Carla, that's so sweet. I had an orange tabby that was devoted to my kids when they were babies.

Re: She Can Tell (10:27am December 3, 2012):

Felicia, I've heard boxers are great family dogs. Thanks for stopping by today.

Re: Midnight Exposure (11:54am October 30, 2012):

Thanks to everyone who commented. I have a few new books to add to my TBR list!

Re: Midnight Exposure (1:18pm October 29, 2012):

These are all great suggestions, both from history and fiction. I love that both Miss Marple and Eve Dallas have both been mentioned multiple times. Two formidable females who couldn't be more different! Strength of character can be shown in many different ways.

Keep them coming!

Re: Amazon Heat (9:35am January 24, 2012):

Thanks to everyone who stopped by and commented today. Sounds like most people enjoy novellas, especially when time is tight.

Re: Amazon Heat (7:18pm January 23, 2012):

Carla, I agree totally.

Robin, I love revising characters, too, both in books I write and those I read.

Kelli, we've never written series novellas, but it's proving to be really fun.

Marjorie, me, too. I love full-length series as well.

Re: Amazon Heat (4:27pm January 23, 2012):

Jennifer, don't worry. I doubt you'll finish Amazon Heat on your lunch break. And I'm sorry you've had a bad experience. You have to be careful with "bargain" ebooks. I've gotten some break books on sale, but I've downloaded some disappointments as well.

Sheila, you think like we do. We're trying hard to finish book 2.

Re: Amazon Heat (4:25pm January 23, 2012):

Linda Bass, Amazon Heat just makes your cut at about 90 pages. Whew!

Ilona, definitely. Novellas are great for us busy folks.

Meghan, being in a series does make a novella more exciting, doesn't it?

Linda Luinstra, I like both novella and full-length books, depending on my mood and how much time I have.

Re: Amazon Heat (1:39pm January 23, 2012):

Tiffany, If you love a lot of action in a tightly written novella, you're going to love Amazon Heat. That was our goal.

Nancy, thanks for stopping by today.

Colleen, I love novellas when I'm busy too.

Re: Amazon Heat (11:34am January 23, 2012):

Gladys & Felicia, I'm so glad you like novellas as much as I do. I also don't always have time to dive into a bigger book.
Peggy, I can appreciate your love losing yourself in a full-length book. Novellas can be fun, too. I like them when I know I don't have a lot of time to set aside.

Sue, that's exactly what I like about having a few novellas on-hand.

Re: She Can Run (8:23am December 5, 2011):

I agree, Barbara. Thanks for reading!

Re: She Can Run (2:02pm December 2, 2011):

Thanks, Judith. I'm glad you could stop by and check it out.

Re: She Can Run (10:16pm November 30, 2011):

Mary Chin, you are so right! What's a romance in one store might be housed with mystery in another. It can be frustrating.

Thanks for stopping by.

Re: She Can Run (4:03pm November 30, 2011):

Thanks, Judy. I hope you enjoy it!

Re: She Can Run (11:57am November 30, 2011):

Yes, Connie, my cat is nuts. The dogs are always giving him this, "what is wrong with you?" look. I'm so glad you like romance in all its forms. Switching it up keeps reading fresh. Thanks for connecting.

Re: She Can Run (7:19am November 30, 2011):

Shirley, suspense is what it's all about.

Tammy, Alyson & Mary, I grew up on Agatha Christie! I adore mystery

Jeanne, I love genre mash ups, too. A new combination feels so fresh.

Re: She Can Run (6:56pm November 29, 2011):

Rich, I love the same mix of genres.

Mary, historical romances can be fascinating and have their own unique kind of intrigue.

Gail, you really like variety in your romance. That's wonderful and keeps each book fresh.

MaryEllen, I love surprising twists as well. The keep me engrossed in the book as I guess what's going to happen next.

Thank you all for sharing in the thrill of my debut week.

Re: She Can Run (5:03pm November 29, 2011):

Lynn, I haven't read too many westerns, but I do love western movies. Good luck with your TBB list!

Cecilia, thanks for reading!

Re: She Can Run (12:32pm November 29, 2011):

I love the Stephanie Plum books, too. I'll be honest, there is a little swearing in my book, but NO vampires. Promise!
