Thank you Shelly! xo!

Re: South Of Surrender (4:31pm June 1, 2013):

Thanks for all the great comments everyone! I'm enjoying reading them.
And I appreciate the book recommendations!

Carla--to your question about Laney's extra sight--in Greek mythology there
are a lot of stories of people being rewarded this way. And those who are
blind often have other abilities. Was a fun discovery about the mythology!

I'm at Philly ComicCon this weekend but will check back in! :)

Re: South Of Surrender (10:51am January 10, 2013):

I really enjoyed hanging out with you guys! Thanks so much for
all the fun comments!

Re: South Of Surrender (1:51am January 10, 2013):

@Elaine - yay! :)

@Ann - For this series, part of what drives it are the
conflicts that exist in the Greek mythology of the Anemoi.
Each individual book is driven by the characters' personal
conflicts and relationships, but then there's also an
overarching series conflict that will play out as the series
progresses. It's interesting to write a series and juggle
all these element! Fun question!

Thanks so much everyone! I really enjoyed being here today!

Re: South Of Surrender (9:16pm January 9, 2013):

LOL! You guys are the best! Thanks for all the fun comments!!!

Re: South Of Surrender (2:39pm January 9, 2013):

Woot! You guys rock! I'm loving your comments! :D

@Val - I really enjoying writing multiple genres. Sometimes
I worry it might be hard slipping out of one and into the
other, but I feel like the changes in pace keep me refreshed
each time I switch between them! They each have their own
challenges and things that make them fun to write, so it's
like the best of all worlds! Thanks for that question!

Re: South Of Surrender (12:26pm January 9, 2013):

@Clare - you guessed it! East of Ecstasy!

Re: South Of Surrender (10:17am January 9, 2013):

Woot! I'm having a ball reading all your comments, guys! :)

@Stephanie - LOL! The RELEASE DATES feel like forever away,
but the deadlines to my editors feel way, way, way too
close! :O (And of COURSE I'm torturing him!)

@Becky - "going south" - too funny!

@Michelle - getting say in covers varies. Almost all
publishers have some sort of a cover art information sheet
they have you complete that includes information about the
hero and heroine, themes and feel of the book, any important
objects or settings. Some but not all publishers will let
you offer feedback on a mock-up of the cover, while others
will present a cover to you and that's it. I got to have
some say on my Anemoi covers, and I just love them! I can't
wait to see Hard as it Gets too!!!

@Michael - could be! LOL

@Mary Ann - LOL! For the Anemoi, I started with the existing
mythology of the Anemoi, which describes some of their
powers, and then I improvised a bit from there.

Thanks everyone! And good luck!

@Tracie - I definitely agree! The research needs to be seamless with the story and not overshadow it!

@Gladys - your comment made me squee! :)

@Jennifer - Ooh, I love those author notes too!

@Shonda - yes, that makes sense!

@Peggy - so sorry to learn we have this in common, Peggy! Speedy recovery to you!

@Jennifer - thanks so much!

@Veronica - yay! I hope you enjoy it!

@Lori - I agree!

@Mary - LOL! That's a good story! Didn't know that!

@Cathy - yes, goes back to an earlier commenter's view about there's only so many times you can ask a reader to make a leap of faith/believe something unbelievable (really, I think it's no more than once a story...)

@Sharon and Lindsey - right.

@Clare - military heroes are pretty big in romance, even if war-time settings are less so... good points!

@Mary - agreed!

@Kaylea - *waves* Thanks so much for stopping over!

@Cynthia - thanks so much!

@Kristin - your comment exactly raises why it's necessary to get it right. There are so many small differences between the services. I'm writing the follow-up story to HER FORBIDDEN HERO right now and just the other day came upon a small example of this: the dog tags (ID tags) differ between the services - the layout of info, the content of it, etc. Such a small detail, but people in the military would totally know it. And it would be irritating to see it wrongly described. Great comment!

@Dolores - oh, very good point. Right, if it's not essential to the characterization or plot, why is it there?

Thanks for all the great comments everyone! I'm really enjoying reading them!

Re: Her Forbidden Hero (6:46pm June 19, 2012):

@Linda - Aw, thank you so much, Linda! xoxo

@Rich - I definitely agree, Rich, and thanks for the movie recommmendation! :)

Re: Her Forbidden Hero (5:46pm June 19, 2012):

@Victoria - woot! Glad to hear you're enjoying the tour!

@Rachael - thanks for letting me know your take!

@Lynne - I agree. Authors need to be careful "not to let their research show" by overdoing it

@Kelli Jo - awesome! Thanks!

@Froggy - Thanks!

@Angie - that's a really good point!

@Tina - good luck! :)

@Mary - I think you just might really love Marco! :)

@Marjorie - good point!

@Wilma - awesome! good luck!

@Colleen and G - it's the mix, so true! Thanks!

@Kathleen - right! In certain genres, there really is reader/view (if a movie) attention to those kinds of details, and see them done right is part of the enjoyment

@Denise - Awesome! Thanks!

Thanks for all the great comments today everyone!

Re: North of Need (7:42am November 7, 2011):

@Sebrina--Yay! Thanks Sebrina!

@Karen--Awesome! Thanks for commenting!

Re: North of Need (3:22pm November 6, 2011):

Oops! Looks like my message got too long there:

@Linda--Oh, I'd be happy to share that:
WEST OF WANT - spring 2012
SOUTH OF SURRENDER - summer 2012
EAST OF ECSTASY - fall 2012

@Alyson--Oh, interesting point and question, Alyson! And doesn't that seem like some delicious tension to build into a character?

Phew! Okay, I think I responded to everyone! Now that I've got some time, I'll be back to comment more frequently! :) Thanks so much for all your kind words and for talking heroic qualities with me today!

Re: North of Need (3:06pm November 6, 2011):

Hi guys! So sorry to be late to the party, but can I just say how awesome y'all are? I've got family visiting, so stealing some computer time has been hard! I'll try to answer all your questions and comments now!
