Re: Guardian (1:54pm July 9, 2013):
I like second chance stories because I am always needing second chances myself! My timing is the worse thing about me :D
Re: The Sword Dancer (1:48pm May 22, 2013):
I love the martial art movies like Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and the book sounds just like my kind of story!
Re: The Survivor (1:22pm March 5, 2013):
I've always told my daughter to be aware of those around her and to use the phone if feeling in any way in danger. I do the same myself, especially if out after dark or in an area I don't know well.
Re: In the Line of Duty (12:35pm August 27, 2012):
Sounds like a great series for me to get hooked on. I love stories about people in uniform who do their best to protect us all.
Re: Blame It On Texas (12:31pm August 27, 2012):
My family have all been in the forces and we have what we call black humour to most bad situations. It's a great way of coping with anything that would otherwise break us.
I think your cousin was probably right about his parents too :D
Re: Primal Possession (12:51pm August 17, 2012):
I love a strong heroine as long as she isn't so macho she is un-likable. A little softness helps make her more believable and enjoyable to read about.
Re: Hell On Wheels (12:20pm August 11, 2012):
After that excerpt I want to read the rest so I'm throwing my name in the hat for a chance at this giveaway :D
Re: Deception (1:43pm July 30, 2012):
I guess with those criteria I wouldn't make a good romance heroine either. Good thing I prefer to read romances than taking part in them :D
Re: Creating Fate (12:38pm July 24, 2012):
I listened to my gut when it told me that the man who had just walked into my parents pub was the one for me. We've been married 35 years now and I've never regretted listening :D
Re: Lord Of Fire And Ice (1:51pm July 6, 2012):
Sounds interesting. I'll keep my eye out for this one when I have the funds.
Re: Wicked Nights (1:13pm June 29, 2012):
Too many to mention, though there are a few that stand out a little from the crowd. Wraith (Larissa Ione), Zarek (Sherrilyn Kenyon), Honor (David Weber),Tia (Anne McCaffrey) and Vanyel (Mercedes Lackey) are some of them.
Re: Sins Of The Angels (1:25pm June 24, 2012):
Sounds like you use that power to entertain us readers so more power to you ;)
Re: Her Forbidden Hero (2:54pm June 20, 2012):
I'm into uniforms and men in the forces - I have to be as I married one 35 years ago :D I love reading stories set in the military as it brings back fond memories of our life back then.
Re: Kiale Dream (2:35pm June 12, 2012):
I love Alien romance stories so I am adding this to my wishlist in case I don't get to win it :D
Re: Chosen Ones (1:34pm June 8, 2012):
I love dystopian books and only wish I had the funds to buy more of them. They are always so imaginative and make for a great read most of the time.
Re: Tangle Of Need (2:13pm May 28, 2012):
I love continuing series when as well written as yours are. Anne McCaffrey, Mercedes Lackey, Laurell K Hamilton and Sherrilyn Kenyon join you on my list of authors who write series' that I can't get enough of :D
Re: Under His Protection (10:26am April 29, 2012):
I can never get enough of Alpha Heroes as long as they also show they are human enough to be compassionate and caring too.
Re: The Vampire Shrink (2:51pm April 27, 2012):
My parents had a pub that was inhabited by a ghost who constantly helped himself to beer, though he would pay for it by placing pfennigs in a circle on the counter top. He also played the jukebox when it was unplugged and generally made himself known in numerous ways to prove his existence.
Re: One Month To Become A Mum (1:44pm April 19, 2012):
I like medical romances because I admire the people who can deal with illness and trauma and still have time to be kind.
Re: The Zen Man (12:56pm April 19, 2012):
Two favourites from books are Richard Rollison (The Toff) and the more updated version of him Simon Templar (The Saint). Both of them were portrayed as gentleman detectives of dark good looks and over 6' tall, what was not to like?
Re: Cursed (1:18pm April 13, 2012):
Congratulations on turning a negative into a positive and giving us a new author to follow in the process.
Re: The Wolf Who Loved Me (2:31pm April 12, 2012):
The only secrets I keep are the ones involving gifts to others :D I wouldn't expect to pay or get paid for keeping secrets for a friend or family member as that is what friendship and family loyalty are all about. The best quote I ever heard about secrets was "A secret is only a secret if no-one knows it".
Re: Illicit Intuitions (1:50pm April 10, 2012):
I have enough problems keeping up with people on Facebook so I don't do Twitter, Pinterest or any other time consuming sites.
Re: A Seal In Wolf's Clothing (2:26pm March 16, 2012):
Hot & Sexy, because SEAL;s are that in spades :D
Re: Rule Of Three (2:11pm March 13, 2012):
I love the fantasy of having two men but in reality I don't think it would be for me. It's hard enough keeping one guy happy and living with his foibles I couldn't do it times two!
Re: His Duty to Protect (2:09pm March 13, 2012):
I have read all the Morgan's Mercenaries books and one day I will have enough funds to get my own copies of them. In the meantime I'l keep an eye open in the library for this one :D
Re: Sketch a Falling Star (2:06pm March 12, 2012):
I am always losing time when I enter a book - it's nice to know I am following a good example when I do :D
Re: Stud (5:38am February 9, 2012):
I watch the movies of the book with no preconceived ideas of it actually resembling the book at all :D
I liked Lord Of The Rings and Harry Potter (among others)not because of any resemblance to the book but because they were good films :D
Re: The Lord Of Illusion (2:31pm February 3, 2012):
The ability to heal, or soothe mental stress and the ability to make plants flourish, or calm a beast would be my choice. The first because my husband has so many illnesses that I would need it for him. the second because I can kill cacti and it would be nice to not do that :D
Re: Chosen By Sin (2:49pm January 31, 2012):
I loved the para-ops book I managed to read from the library so I would love to read more about the world you have created.
Re: Fever (1:15pm January 25, 2012):
Great interview. Any good advice given will be gratefully read by me as I am terrible at setting goals let alone achieving them!
Re: Falling For The Fireman (1:26pm January 24, 2012):
I love stories about fireman because they are heroes in the true sense of the word. They put their lives on the line every day to keep people safe. I like the stories that show how they deal with that kind of stress and danger.
Re: Amazon Heat (2:20pm January 23, 2012):
I love novellas for when I haven't got the time to read a hefty tome :D Besides a good novella is as enjoyable as a full length novel as long as the story feels finished.
Re: Banshee Charmer (2:11pm January 23, 2012):
Loyalty, Humour and Bravery are essentials for me (and the bravery can be of the emotional variety if necessary :D)
Re: Dreamers (2:54pm January 21, 2012):
'I am who I am' and 'People have to take me as they find me' are two things I live my life by. Mind you at 53 it's a bit late to change what I think of myself :D
Re: Sex, Lies and Surveillance (12:48pm January 19, 2012):
My vote goes to Flint (or maybe it's just that I love James Coburn when he plays Flint? :D)
Re: Demon Crossings (1:48pm January 9, 2012):
I've always loved the mythology of the Norse Gods and Demons so this take on them is one I am looking forward to reading :D
Re: Demon Crossings (2:51pm January 5, 2012):
I like the sound of this one. I am going to add it to my 'I want this book' list :D
Re: Hot Rain (2:42pm January 4, 2012):
Having been happily married for 35 years I know next to nothing about online dating. My children are all against it however. They say too many people have learnt to lie very well online and lying face to face is much harder to do.
Re: A Demon Does It Better (1:47pm January 3, 2012):
I's love to be a dog for a day just to find out what is so fascinating in smelling stuff (it's usually rather yucky stuff for my dog).
Re: Sweet Reward (1:06pm January 2, 2012):
I love tortured characters and my favourites are Acheron and Zarek from Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter series.
Re: The Last Slayer (1:50pm December 26, 2011):
To me secondary characters can make or break a story. I prefer it when the author has made the effort (as you have) to make them as real as the main characters :D
Re: The Nine Lives Of Christmas (2:57pm December 24, 2011):
I know that I will have lots of books to read on Christmas day as the husband bought me at least 5 off my wish list :D
Re: Wedded In Scandal (2:10pm December 22, 2011):
If I didn't limit myself to two hours a day on the internet I would end up spending all day there playing games and chatting. Mind you I still manage to 'waste time' by reading a lot of books.
Re: Shield of Fire (12:58pm December 10, 2011):
When my four boys were teens we used to buy them T-shirts with their current interests (games or goth etc.)or stuff like puzzles (the really challenging mental type),male interest pendants and also toiletries (the kind that appeals to teen girls). Hope this helps :D
Re: Dreaming Of The Wolf (2:14pm December 8, 2011):
I have a man doing my cooking already. It's my husband who has done the majority of the cooking for the last 35 years :D His go to meal is a good old-fashioned Vegetable stew for the cold days. For variety he adds meat of any kind :D
My own go to recipe is Tagliatelle with ham, butter and tomato purée added after it's cooked. Makes a wonderfully tasty dish and it's so easy I can't muck it up :D
Re: Beyond The Darkness (10:35am December 4, 2011):
I love those covers - would want to own the books just for them ;) However I really like the write up about them so want them anyway to read all about these wonderful characters :D
Re: Hunter Of Shadows (10:17am December 4, 2011):
I love surprises in books but, without spoilers, I can't actually give a for instant. Suffice to say there are a few authors who constantly give me that 'Whoa' factor :D
Re: Hot Zone (1:39pm December 1, 2011):
Lucky you - this year none of my five children will make it home for Christmas :(
Hope you make the most of it and enjoy every second of Christmas with them :D
Re: Acquainted with the Night (1:36pm December 1, 2011):
What a wonderfully new take on the vampire mythology - I really want to read this book :D
Re: Learning To Trust (12:55pm November 27, 2011):
I really like the idea of Learning To Trust and hope to read it soon (sooner if I win it *Hint, Hint ;)*
Re: Waking Up Dead (12:53pm November 27, 2011):
I hope the physiotherapy worked and that your hand is now usable :D Mind you, if having a gammy hand helps you write great stories then I hope it didn't *tongue in cheek here*
Re: The Storm That Is Sterling (2:15pm November 23, 2011):
Acheron from Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter series. Though Zarek from the same series and Wolverine from X-Men are a close second :D
Re: The Fallen Queen (12:33pm November 18, 2011):
I loved the book Scarlet Pimpernel but have only seen two of the three film versions of it. Like you I loved the line about marriage being a sentence :D
Re: Guardian Agent (1:32pm November 14, 2011):
Novellas are great for that time when you need a quick read (like waiting at the doctors)and if they are good and entertaining stories they are doubly good :D
Re: Shadowlander (4:11am November 12, 2011):
Acheron, Hypatia Cade, Anna Latham, Honor Harrington and Miles Vorkosigan are the ones that immediately spring to mind for me.

Re: Genie Knows Best (2:22pm November 10, 2011):
It's been sometime since I last came across a Genie book that sounded interesting enough to read - this one made the grade though :D
Re: Tall, Dark And Cowboy (2:23pm November 7, 2011):
Born and bred army, so starting over was a way of life for me. I am so happy that I haven't had to move anywhere for the last 22 years. Moving and starting over is way too stressful.
Re: North of Need (9:36am November 6, 2011):
"Here is a man who takes delight in Lucky Charms and ice cream, who is a tiger in the sack, and whose number one priority is not to hurt Megan."
This comment was enough to make me want the book to read more about this delectable guy.
Re: Enchanted Destiny (3:42pm October 31, 2011):
What a great way to get people interested in finding out more about Jake and Kat - it worked for me.
*is adding book to wish list*
Re: Radiant Desire (2:31pm October 30, 2011):
Given that some very good looking guys can be total sleaze balls I am in agreement that looks don't make an Alpha Male. However I think it's not just the total confidence but some kind of sexual chemistry that they seem to emit as well that makes them Alpha.
Re: A Maverick For Christmas (2:21pm October 30, 2011):
I am not sure if it helps people, but I always try and listen to what they are finding hard on their life and then tell them the truth of what I believe. It might not always be what they want to hear but I tell them anyway. If my words help then they do come back for more advice, so I must be doing something right.
Re: Ecstasy Untamed (2:20pm October 26, 2011):
Like most of us here I am more of a reader than a movie watcher but I did see a very strange one some years ago (in fact my son gave me the DVD or I'd never have even tried to watch it)and that was Donnie Darko.
Re: Unleashed (2:54pm October 10, 2011):
Wolf! It is a pack animal that is all about family and loyalty but if I were to be a fantasy shifter then it would have to be a Dragon - just love the majesty of them.
Re: Chosen By Fate (1:04pm October 9, 2011):
I am so with you on that sentiment. I hate it when people look down on romance writers and readers, just because we like a little (or a lot) of sex and love, it doesn't make us dumb! Besides it's much nicer to have a happy ending :D
Re: The Norse King's Daughter (1:19pm September 30, 2011):
For my reading slumps I turn to old favourites and keep an eye open at the library for something that peaks my interest. Usually I find it's something in a different genre to what I had been reading.
Re: The Rake And The Recluse (1:30pm September 18, 2011):
I love the idea of reading an illustrated e-book. It will certainly enhance the reading experience with a visual aid to what the author had in mind with the characters.
Re: Out in Blue (1:33pm September 13, 2011):
That is a difficult question as I like different traits at different times. The softness of fur in a Shapeshifter, the excitement of fangs to the neck with Vampires and the thrill of flying with Angels all appeal dependant on my reading mood.
Re: Deep Disclosure (1:23pm September 8, 2011):
I try and live in the now but it isn't always easy. The past interferes with my perceptions of now and the future needs to be addressed at times too :S
Re: Deadly Descent (2:38pm September 5, 2011):
Sandra Hill's Viking SEALs :D I also like Suzanne Brockman's Troubleshooters and Christine Feehan's Ghostwalkers.
Re: Diaries Of An Urban Panther (1:39pm August 31, 2011):
I'd like to think I would stand and fight, but I know I am more likely to throw something and RUN as fast as possible in the opposite direction (the throwing would be to distract the 'nasty thing out of the shadows' LOL).
Re: Blood of the Demon (1:00pm August 28, 2011):
Sounds like your demons fit right into my favourite kind of Alpha male hero :D
Re: Touch If You Dare (12:58pm July 21, 2011):
As I can knit and love having my hair done where can I get my hands on him?
Seriously though I love the sound of this book and I want that cover on my shelf soonest :D
Re: In The Heat Of The Bite (1:49pm July 19, 2011):
I have liked a lot of secondary characters that wouldn't fit in a book of their own, but I think that just shows how well the authors can write any and all characters. The more you like the secondary characters the more real all of them seem :D
Re: Night Walker (1:19pm July 18, 2011):
I'm a bit ambiguous about the chance to live forever. On the one hand I think I would hate to live on even after all my family had passed away. But on the other hand just think of all that time to fill with all the new books to read :D
Re: Break Out (2:25pm July 4, 2011):
The way you describe Break Out I think crossing genres is Great :D Mind you as a lover of cross genre stories I can't get enough of them and am never confused, after all it's the story not the genre I am buying into.
Re: Night Veil (1:05pm June 27, 2011):
I guess for me it was Superman because the way Batman is usually represented in the original comics he was way to dark and gritty for me. Batman came across as one step away from being a bad guy whereas Superman was always a good guy :D (except for the time with the corrupted Kryptonite ;).
Re: Demons Prefer Blondes (12:25pm June 20, 2011):
Romance novels are unrealistic in some respects but the emotions are never anything but real. We all feel the kind of love, lust etc. that the average hero/heroine feels in any romance and that's just the way it should be :D
Re: Under a Desert Sky (2:05pm June 18, 2011):
HEA is only possible in real life if you constantly work at it together. The operative here word being TOGETHER!
Re: Virgin (2:32pm June 16, 2011):
I have two of the previous books and am looking to get the funds to buy the others - now I have to add this one to the list :D Sounds wonderful and I really enjoyed the interview :D
Re: Frostbound (2:42pm June 7, 2011):
Love the cover, the title and most especially the sound of this one :D
Re: Cover of Darkness (1:25pm June 5, 2011):
I love books with military heroes, probably because I grew up the daughter of one and married another :D Look forward to reading your take on them :D
Re: Ashes Of The Earth (2:23pm May 17, 2011):
I recently watched a TV show called Life After People and it fits what my image of a true post apocalypse Earth would be.
Re: Deadly Promises (2:22pm May 13, 2011):
Love SEAL stories, so this one is on my wish list as of now :D
Re: The Legend Of Michael (1:47am May 2, 2011):
Loyalty, Compassion and Courage.
Re: Total Abandon (1:22pm May 1, 2011):
I love both Print and E-book so that I can have the best of both worlds. Big name authors and authors willing to write something different :D
I love the sound of your book The King and I but my first thought on seeing the title was of Yul Brynner waltzing with Deborah Kerr :D
Re: The Alchemy of Desire (2:19pm April 25, 2011):
I prefer Alpha Heroes but love reading about Beta heroes once in a while. It's nice when the gentleman wins the girl too :D
Re: Hidden Embers (1:50pm April 22, 2011):
My favourite season has to be Autumn. I love the colours and the brisk winds (Not the rain though) but that's probably because I was born in Autumn :D
Re: Blood Sin (1:46pm April 22, 2011):
This sounds like a good book and the cover is great. Nothing better than an intelligent Vampire story.
Re: Play Me (1:57pm March 29, 2011):
Love hot in romances but mechanical is a real 'ick' for me as is anything that smacks of paid sex (no emotions involved).
Re: Storm Of Reckoning (1:28pm February 20, 2011):
So glad you aren't a true Overlord - I would hate for your characters to be killed off. I love your books and love reading your blog about Dart, Belle and Risa as well as all the others too :D
Re: The Mysterious Lady Law (2:01pm February 5, 2011):
I have never bothered about the gender of my authors as long as they write a good story.
I've just recently started reading steampunk and this one sounds wonderful.
Re: Burning Darkness (2:07pm February 1, 2011):
Child abuse or rape is a no no in my book. Anything else can and does sometimes have a reasonable explanation if done well by the author.
Re: Wicked Seduction (1:36pm January 11, 2011):
I don't suffer from your madness, but now I know what to expect from my daughter in the future :D
Re: Second Chances (1:00pm December 1, 2010):
Second chances are there for a reason. To be grabbed with both hands and run with it.
I can't recommend any books for that subject as I have read many that have done a good job and equally as many that mucked it up for me. (Mind you I am still waiting on my library to supply me with 'Second Chance' to read :D)
Re: The Fire Lord's Lover (2:16pm June 30, 2010):
Wow that is a lot of knowledge about gentlemen's dress in the 18th Century. Are you sure you haven't done a little time travelling to achieve it?
Oh yeah, one other thing - can I try out your list on General Dominic Raikes for myself?
Re: Table Manners (1:58pm September 7, 2009):
Have spent the weekend feeling very sorry for myself as my dh and I have fallen ill with the flu :( I was even too sick to bother reading!!
