Re: Twice Tempted (6:41pm December 5, 2014):

Finally! My computer stopped fighting me and gave me my password. Thanks Sara and FF for letting me play, and for everybody's answer. I'm delighted I can share my love of series--and my frustrations--with you guys. And yes, sadly, I'm afraid I'm one of those authors who hasn't always managed to get her books out quickly. Especially TWICE TEMPTED, because writing two couples makes it so much more complicated for me, took longer than I wanted. Hopefully Pip and Beau will behave themselves. We'll find out, won't we?

Re: It Begins with a Kiss (2:29pm July 3, 2012):

Just a reminder. IT BEGINS WITH A KISS --is a short prequel (89 pages)or prologue to the second series.I don't want you to be disappointed.

Re: It Begins with a Kiss (12:40pm July 3, 2012):

Sandy--You've made me incredibly jealous. The most frustrating thing for me is that to see what I want to, I'd need a very expensive telescope, and it's just not practical. So I'm trying to make friends with people with powerful telescopes(hmmm. that sounds fairly salacious)

Re: It Begins with a Kiss (12:39pm July 3, 2012):

Kathleen--it's absolutely true. I never could have written historicals before internet. I can't tell you how much time I've saved, and what great resource material is available.

Re: It Begins with a Kiss (10:27am July 3, 2012):

I so wish all the books in the new series were finished. I'm afraid you'll have to wait to meet Willoughby. You will meet his owner in my estory (out today!!) It Begins with a Kiss, while she was in school, though, along with the other heroines. And yes, there is humor. And drama. And adventure. And passion. I can't imagine a romance without passion of some kind.

Re: It Begins with a Kiss (10:25am July 3, 2012):

Clara--You've explained the situation exactly. Not every girl who went to Last Chance Academy ends up rich and titled. At least not at the beginning of their book. Although I will put Willoughby's fears to rest and tell you that he's the daddy pig to provide all the little porkers for sale. And yes, Lyme Regis was indeed the setting for French Lieutenant's woman. I walked out on the Cobb where she stood in the wind.

Re: It Begins with a Kiss (10:23am July 3, 2012):

Monica--
I feel the same way. I was so surprised to see what was going on in science at that time. It's been fascinating research. and some great characters for my characters to meet.

Re: Always a Temptress (11:21pm November 3, 2011):

wow, this is great. Even more recommendations. Jennifer. I have to try the Jacqueline Carey books. They sound amazing.
Noel--I'm so glad you liked Chuffy. He's so fun to write. And I'll ease your mind right now. He gets his own girl.
As for there maybe being more Rakes than the original group, well, you never know. Unexpected characters show up all the time in my books. I'll also say that I"m not finished with Barbara Schroeder, who actually is kind of an auxiliary Rakess.

Re: Always a Temptress (11:46am November 3, 2011):

Erin--thank you! I'm so glad you love my Rakes. I'm working on Ian's story now(you'll see), and writing an e-short that sets up the heroines of the next trilogy. Turns out they all went to the same school, where their Rake brothers put them to keep them safe while the Rakes go off to save the country. Who knew? (and except for that, all the Rakes are in paper, too. I know what you mean. I still have to hold that paper in my hands when I can)

Re: Always a Temptress (11:44am November 3, 2011):

Peggy--I'm sorry you've had family stuff. I know very well what that's like. So don't worry about not catching up. I wouldn't say my books are like Evanovich. There is humor, but there's a LOT more angst before the HEA. I hope you enjoy the vicarious catharsis. And that life eases up.

Re: Always a Temptress (11:42am November 3, 2011):

Bwahahaha! My evil plan has worked. You guys have once again given me new ideas for books to read. And I love to read series for the same reason. I don't ever have to put the characters away. I'm actually hoping to be like one of my favorite series authors Patricia Veryan, who kept spinning off characters for something like 50 years. I can't imagine what the inside of her head looked like!

Re: Always a Temptress (12:56pm November 3, 2011):

Amy--thanks. I don't think I have a chance. Actually characters can be pretty dictatorial. "I want to do this. I want to do that. I want to shoot that fellow over there." Thank heavens they usually end up making sense-at least for me.

Re: Never A Gentleman (12:38pm April 27, 2011):

I knew I wasn't an isolated wallower. It's so good to have company when I reach for that box of kleenex. I really hope you find a good catharsis with Grace and Diccan. Please let me know. Stop by the website and say hi.
Thanks again so much to my buds here at Fresh Fiction for asking me back to play. It's been so much fun.

Re: Barely A Lady (1:15am August 3, 2010):

Well, Karin, you want a definition of villain, I think that would do it.

Re: Barely A Lady (12:44pm July 30, 2010):

Patricia, the best part of Gaston is that he really doesn't get it that he's evil. I love him, too. Thanks so much to everyone for the welcome at Fresh Fiction. What fun!
