Re: Sweet Justice (3:00pm September 3, 2011):

Hey Christy! I'd have to agree with Karen Rose's villains being way up
there are the creep-o-meter. However, just seeing Aldin Pike's name in
print again gave me chills. SCARY! He's so much creepier because there
are really people like that!
To anyone trying to decide whether or not to buy SWEET JUSTICE
Tuesday, I say go for it! Whether you're a tried and true Reece fan, or just
starting your LCR journey, the book is amazing!

Re: On The Steamy Side (10:17am March 23, 2010):

The first books that come to mind with kids as central characters are Stealing Home by Sherryl Woods and Table for Five by Susan Wiggs. CANNOT wait to read On the Steamy Side. Haven't had any luck finding it in our small town, but we're 'heading to the city' today, and I know I'll find it there. :)

Re: SEALed with a Ring (11:17pm March 5, 2010):

I really enjoyed your last two books, and am really looking forward to reading this one. Will there be more books in this series?

Re: Lake Magic (1:17pm March 2, 2010):

As a kid, I always thought I'd have lots and lots of kids. Well, I do. Only two are mine by birth. The other multitude of kids are those I work with every day. Not really a different dream, just a bit altered than how it started out.
BTW, I read Lake Magic and LOVED it. Recommend it to everyone every chance I get. Have a great day.

Re: Cowboy Trouble (8:02am February 26, 2010):

I saw this book on Amazon and it sounds amazing! Right up my alley. It is DEFINITELY on my TBB list. Cannot wait to read it. I am not really into historicals, although I know a lot of people who are. I love books with characters who could be anyone I know - or even me! A great romance, a litte mystery, and just a touch a humor? Perfect! Have a great day.

Re: Forbidden Heat (7:55am January 27, 2010):

Interesting blog! Have a great day.

Re: Hold On Tight (8:11am January 26, 2010):

Stephanie,
I've already told you on FB and every blog where I've found you how much I've enjoyed this series, but just let me say again - I LOVE THIS SERIES. It is extremely popular with all my 'book buddies' as well.
As for looking unknown words up, I don't usually stop reading to look it up unless I'm totally lost by not knowing. I will however, look it up later, just to be sure.
As a teacher, I've been known to use those words all kids dread "look it up", but if they are clearly enjoying the book they're reading, I just give the meaning to them. Nothing is sweeter than watching a child enjoy a book. I'm certainly not going to pull them from that to read a dictionary. LOL
Hope everyone has a great day!

Re: Snow Angels (10:07pm November 30, 2009):

I just finished Stephanie Tyler's Hard to Hold, and am reading Sandra Brown's Rainwater.
My favorites this year have been the Lisa Kleypas series with Sugar Daddy, Blue Eyed Devil, and Smooth Talking Stranger. Also loved Christy Reece's trilogy starting with Rescue Me. That is a not-to-be missed series, and she has a new trilogy coming out in a couple of months, so there is definitely something to look forward to for 2010!

Re: Over My Dead Body (9:25pm November 16, 2009):

My grandma made the BEST banana nut bread! What a great memory.

Re: Rainwater (5:04pm November 6, 2009):

My favorite book trailers were for the Lisa Kleypas trilogy starting with Sugar Daddy.
Can't wait to read Rainwater!

Re: One Lucky Cowboy (8:35pm November 5, 2009):

I read the first book in this series and really enjoyed. Can't wait to read this new one!

Re: Mr. Darcy Vampyre (8:18am October 28, 2009):

One of the best things about this site is getting to find out about great books! I will definitely be looking for yours now!

Re: Silver Silence (8:29am October 27, 2009):

I read A Little Light Magic and absolutely fell in love with you writing. Can't wait to read your other books.

Re: Santa Honey (9:07pm October 24, 2009):

One of my favorite things to do is to go into the local bookstore and browse. Even better is spending a half hour talking to the owner about books we're currently reading and giving each other suggestions for our next reads. Although I'm glad for my friends that like the ebooks, I don't want to give up that time in the bookstore, or my wonderful shelves full of books!

Re: Possess Me At Midnight (8:10am October 22, 2009):

You are definitely up to the challenge! I love your books!

Re: My Wicked Vampire (9:38pm October 20, 2009):

My favorite books are those that strike a balance between the drama and humor. Even the most serious story line can be helped along with a humorous scene or even better, some nice, funny banter between characters.

Re: The Hunt (8:23am October 12, 2009):

This book sounds great!

Re: The Promise (1:15pm October 11, 2009):

I usually keep a couple of books going - one from my very large TRB pile quickly taking over my closet, and one new release. If you don't read more than one book at a time, I'd alternate between the two. Some of those older books are just too good not to be read!

Re: A Hollywood Ending (1:11pm October 11, 2009):

I'll read anything by Karen Rose, Suzanne Brockmann, SEP, Cindy Gerard, and Robyn Carr. Recently, I've come across some new to me authors that are quickly becoming part of that first list. These include Christy Reece, Kylie Brant, and Catherine Spangler. In truth there are just too many to list here! However, I love seeing some of the authors others have listed. Will have to check them out!

Re: Out Of The Darkness (7:48pm October 8, 2009):

I loved, loved, loved the first book in this series! Ordered the second one as soon as I saw it was going to be released, and can't wait to get started on it. I love to read series and, as you mentioned, catch up with 'friends' from earlier books. BTW, have several friends reading this series now as well!

Re: A Dark Love (10:41pm October 3, 2009):

I loved A Dark Love, which made me go in search of your earlier books. Am anxiously awaiting Riptide. Thanks for the great reads!

Re: Love You To Death (10:39pm October 3, 2009):

I've read all your books, including this new one. Loved it, loved it, loved it! I'm so excited you have so many future books to look forward to as well!

Re: Lucky Break (7:00pm September 29, 2009):

I love contemporary romance. The best ones, in my opinion, have a balance of humor and real emotion.

Re: Haunting Beauty (8:03am August 28, 2009):

Haunting Beauty sounds sooo good. Can't wait to read it.

As for the question, though are definitely things in the past I'd handle differently totday, I'm not sure I'd want the chance. I really don't want to spend time reliving the past - I'd rather use what I've learned to make the present a better place.

Re: Air Time (7:21am August 25, 2009):

What a neat 'how I met my love' story'! And I love the idea of "You Never Know" Day. My husband and I met by chance, 18 years and now two kids ago!

Re: Smash Cut (3:40pm August 16, 2009):

I am a recent convert into the 're-read' clan. I didn't re-read simply for the fact that, like others, my TBR stack was impossibly huge. However, I found that reading a loved book again does wonders for stress levels! I agree with the person earlier that called such books 'comfort foods'.
Of course, this just means my TBR stack gets bigger and bigger.

Re: Breaking Loose (8:01am August 13, 2009):

Good morning Tara!
My idea of a perfect romance novel is one with believable characters, a little action/ adventure, a touch of humor, great 'chemistry' between the characters, and secondary characters interesting enough in insure there are no down times in the book. Wait! I just described your books! Can't wait to read Breaking Loose. It sure sounds like you got it right again!

Re: Chosen To Die (8:18am August 11, 2009):

I love series, especially when each new book lets you 'visit' previous characters.

Re: Face Time (12:08pm July 28, 2009):

I just ordered Prime Time. Can't wait to read it.
My mom and I have always gotten along. In fact, we just got back from a vacation together. That's not to say that we always see eye to eye on things! The debates are always interesting and entertaining though!

Re: Seeing Red (9:11am July 27, 2009):

I live in a small town, and have for almost 15 years. It's close enough to the state's capital city to allow us access to 'city living' if we want. It's small enough to have only one high school and events like ice cream socials on the courthouse lawn. It's not perfect, but it sure is nice!
Just bought Seeing Red, by the way, and cant' wait to read it. Love you books.

Re: Divorced, Desperate and Deceived (10:07am July 21, 2009):

Good morning Christie,
I've emailed you before about how much I enjoy your books, but I'll say it again - I've read and loved them all. I have a friend who is extremely picky about the books she reads, and she loved Gotcha! Now, if I could only get it back from her...
Great interview. Needed a good laugh today. Can't wait for the next book.

Re: Bending The Rules (9:35pm July 20, 2009):

I had wondered if that movie was going to be good. It looks like it might do the trick in the 'making me cry' department.I'll have to check it out.

Re: Bending The Rules (10:25am July 20, 2009):

What a great topic! Altbough I'm not likely to cry over movies (although that has certainly happened a time or two) I can definitely relate to crying when angry. Susan, your comment about having the perfect comeback only after its needed is something I have lived through more than once! My favorite heroines are those that are just the opposite. They have the comeback ready and aren't afraid to use it!
By the way, I absolutely love your books!

Re: Black Hills (5:11pm July 18, 2009):

Looks like everyone is having a blast, and what a rush to get to meet so many favorite authors!

Re: Earth Guys Are Easy (9:01am July 15, 2009):

I've always loved the old Motown songs. As for squash wine? I'm not so sure.
Saw the book in the store yesterday. It's on my 'to buy' list (if I don't win a copy here! lol).
Have a great day.

Re: Mr. Perfect (12:14pm July 12, 2009):

Like some others who have already posted, I am somewhat leary of anything that is given too much hype. However, I have to say that when I first started the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich, I was certain I wouldn't like it as much as I was told (repeatedly) that I would. Turns out the hype was right and I loved the series!

Re: The Beach House (11:23am July 11, 2009):

Great story! My kids are always laughing at the odd trivia about geography, government, etc that I've picked up from romance books. I'll have to tell them I'm not alone.

Re: Dragons Prefer Blondes (10:49am July 8, 2009):

Have to agree with Dottie - definitely Superman. Fun question though!

Re: The Guernsey Literary And Potato Peel Pie Society (3:29pm July 5, 2009):

I'd have to add the last two Janet Evanovich books to this lists of let downs. I think that series, at least for me, has run its course. I also tried The Appeal by John Grisham when it first came out. To me it was very dull. This is a great topic. It's interesting to see what works and doesn't work for people!

Re: Everywhere She Turns (11:09am July 4, 2009):

I have read many of your books, and they are consistently some of my favorites. Tried to get Everywhere She Turns at my local store and it was already gone! Will be getting it asap. Thanks for the great stories.

Re: Love At First Flight (7:09pm July 3, 2009):

Loved Line of Scrimmage and have waited, quite impatiently, for Love at First Flight to come out. So glad it's finally here!!
