Re: Shadow Fires (4:54pm June 11, 2015):

Hi L. Thanks for checking in.

Re: Shadow Fires (4:54pm June 11, 2015):

Hi Kimberley! I agree completely, especially in fiction. The characters must be bigger than life. When I read, I want to be taken out of my ordinary world.

Re: Shadow Fires (4:53pm June 11, 2015):

Hello Deb! I love your two examples of well-known opposites attract.

Re: Shadow Fires (1:24pm June 11, 2015):

Hi Colleen. I think we're all agreeing that the opposite attracts stories can work quite well.

Re: Shadow Fires (1:23pm June 11, 2015):

Hello Joan! I agree. It's like pieces of a puzzle fitting together.

Re: Shadow Fires (1:22pm June 11, 2015):

Hi Rhianna! Nice to see you here. I'm with you--those total opposites can really keep things interesting!

Re: Shadow Fires (11:09am June 11, 2015):

Hi Marissa! Sometimes opposites are attracted to each other. Sometimes it's the "forbidden fruit" allure. In the case of Shadow Fires, they are not attracted to each other, but forced together. So maybe it's more of a "marriage of convenience" theme.

Re: Shadow Fires (11:09am June 11, 2015):

Hi Lisa! You're absolutely right. Opposites is a very common theme. And it creates a lot of good conflict.

Re: Shadow Fires (4:50pm May 14, 2015):

Hi Mary! Will have to check out Shelly Laurenston. Thanks

Re: Shadow Fires (4:48pm May 14, 2015):

Hi Nancy! Thanks for your comment. I'll have to check out the Christmas in Snow Valley set.

Re: Shadow Fires (4:47pm May 14, 2015):

LOL, Christine! I share your philosophy.

Re: Shadow Fires (4:46pm May 14, 2015):

Hi Edgar! Good choices!

Re: Shadow Fires (3:50pm May 14, 2015):

Hi Tami! Good to see you here. Yes, Debra Webb is really good!

Re: Shadow Fires (3:50pm May 14, 2015):

Colleen, I love the JD Robb books. Will have to check out Catherine Coulter's series.

Re: Shadow Fires (3:48pm May 14, 2015):

Hi Sarah! I think Narnia is a great series :-)

Re: Shadow Fires (1:07pm May 14, 2015):

Oops! I mxed up Peggy and Angela. Duh. Thank you, Angela, for your kind words about the Shielder Series.

Peggy, I like Janet Evanovich, too. As with you, I've enjoyed some series that seemed to go downhill, and I eventually lost interest. I really respect and admire those authors who can keep a series fresh, enjoyable, and still enjoyable.

Re: Shadow Fires (1:05pm May 14, 2015):

Hi Peggy! Thanks for your kind words about the Shielder series. I love anything Nalini Singh writes!

Re: Shadow Fires (1:04pm May 14, 2015):

Hi Marissa! I'm with you, in the sense I like a number of series. Some of my faves: J.D. Robb, J.R. Ward (BDB, Nalini Singh (Guild Hunters), G.A Aiken, and more--so many more!
