UNDEAD IN THE GARDEN OF GOOD & EVIL by Kim Harrison:
Ivy Tamwood is a cop -- she's also a living vampire able to
live in sunlight until she "dies." She wants to move up in
her chosen career, but her boss, a vampire of the dead
variety, is in her way. He's also trying to pin a murder on
Tam. What's she to do, but take care of both problems at
once?
THE CLAIRE SWITCH PROJECT by Lynsay Sands: Claire
Beckett works in a top-secret laboratory for Kyle Lockhart,
whom she's been in love with since high school. In a so-
called accident, Claire is zapped with a ray that gives her
the ability to look like anyone she wants -- with just a
thought. She and her boss have to figure out what happened
to her and how far it goes. While they're figuring out her
problem, she wouldn't mind finding the key to his heart.
CHAOTIC by Kelley Armstrong: Hope is a half-demon
whose power is to sense chaos and trouble on the way. While
unknowingly working for a wizard's cabal, she hones in on
thief Karl Marsten, a werewolf her cabal contact has been
seeking. But who is she to believe -- her cabal contact, who
misled her, or Karl, whom she's very attracted to? Is he
really trustworthy, or are her hormones leading her in the
wrong direction?
DEAD MAN DATING by Lori Handeland: When Kit tries a
dating service, her date turns out to be Eric -- blonde,
handsome...and deadly. While they're walking, he's shot, but
instead of falling to the ground, he disappears. Chavez,
the shooter, informs her that Eric is a demon, and that
he's temporarily saved Kit from Eric. Knowing Eric has
marked Kit, Chavez must keep her safe until he can figure
out a way to destroy the demon for good. But can he keep
from falling in love with her while he does it?
This was a great group of stories by four of my favorite
authors, and I loved all of them. Each story is unique,
although Harrison and Armstrong's novellas are installments
in their continuing series. As usual, I wasn't completely
satisfied with what I got because I always want more! I
can't wait to read the next offerings by these authors.
DATES FROM HELL is a delightful way to spend some leisure
time, whether you have to read it one story at a time, or
can sit and read it from cover to cover. A great read!
Take a pair of sexy vampires from Kim Harrison, add
a sultry shape-shifter by Lynsay Sands, plus a
werwolf unlike any other from Kelley Armstrong, toss
in a demon hunter by Lori Handeland and you have an
unbelievable night of DATES FROM HELL . . .
