SEDUCED BY A STEELE is the 12th book in the Forged of Steele Series by Brenda Jackson.  This series is all about the dyed in the wool confirmed Steele bachelors determined to remain single with each finding themselves now happily married.  I have enjoyed going on this journey with Brenda Jackson as she takes us through the various family members and their lives.  The Forged of Steele Series will connect you with her popular Westmoreland Series.  These series are filled with passion, strong family values, and stubborn determination that leaves you waiting to see what happens with the next family member.  I really love Brenda Jackson's style of writing.  Her characters are interesting with some head strong personalities.

This latest Steele novel is about one of the remaining "Bad News Steeles" who is notorious with the women.  He loves them but has no desire to be tied down.  But just like all his brothers he will meet his match.  When Mercury Steele catches the "thief" driving his beloved stolen vintage car what should be do.  But after hearing the beautiful runaway heiress, Sloan Donohue, tell him her story about how she is on the run from her tyrannical family he doesn't know whether he should have her arrested or rescue her.  So when Mercury learns about her circumstances he does the only thing he can think of.  He takes her to his parents' home.

Sloan is penniless but determined to prove to her parents that she can make it on her own and not let them force her into a loveless marriage for financial gain.  But unforeseen circumstances has her relying on Mercury for temporary assistance.  Being around Sloan triggers red-hot desire that Mercury finds hard to resist. Will this become a simple seduction or will it lead to more?  Mercury is determined that he will not be the next Steele to fall but can be resist? Both Mercury and Sloan are keeping secrets.
