The last thing Kelton wants is a mate. His only plans in life are to protect his fellow Dragon Kings and their mates. He certainly did not expect to catch a FEVER of desire for the woman who was threatening his people.
Bernadette Davies went from a full-time anthropologist to part-time so she could delve into the secrets of the dragon world. How could the people of Dreagon hide the fact that they were dragon shifters? And the missing women who were last known to be at Dreagon and are never heard from again? Where could they have gone? She needs answers. At one of her lectures where she promises proof that dragons exist, she meets Kelton and soon questions her plans to expose Dreagon. In fact, she begins to question a lot of things and not just why is she searching for dragons!
FEVER is the long-awaited book 16 of author Donna Grant's Dark Kings series. There is little that can be put into a review that might not be seen as spoilers to I will try to be careful. In the past book IGNITE Constantine (King of the Dragon Kings) had been kidnapped by Usaeil (Queen of the Light Fae), which throws the Kings in a bit of a tizzy, to say the least. Rhi is chomping at the bits to get her hands on Ubitch (her name for Usaeil), but for some reason, no one can find her. Now Bernadette has been thrown into the mix, and I will say that she was tricked into this mess, and you can probably guess by whom.
The romance between Kelton and Bernadette does get a bit overshadowed by all the things that take place, but what is there is sweet, and, of course, there are a number of steamy moments. The Dark Fae, Light Fae, and the "Others" are very much involved in this offering that is filled with action and drama. Henry North fans will be happy to know that he just might be getting more involved in things as he meets someone who has him ready to embrace his part in the paranormal world. There are answers to some of the questions readers have been putting out there, but with FEVER, new things come out that will have readers going a new direction with their thoughts. As I stated earlier, it is hard to write a review for a book such as this one, because I hate to ruin the mystery for others, so let me say fans of Ms. Grant's Dark Kings will not want to miss FEVER.
If you love your Dragon Kings, a sweet and steamy romance, action, danger, intrigue, and are ready to maybe shed a few tears, then FEVER is what you need to get your hands on.
