Romance Erotica Sensual

A PERFECT LIE is the story of Hailey Anne Monroe, a young woman who is expected to be the perfect First Daughter when her father Thomas Monroe becomes the president of the United States. Things do not always go right for this woman or her father for that matter, just turn the pages and begin to read, and you will see that life doesn't always follow wishes, sometimes fate takes over.

Hailey's world had always centered around what her parents wanted for her; she loved art and painting, but she was going to be a lawyer. When her mother dies in a horrific car accident after picking up Hailey from a bad event, her father let her know this was her fault. He marries a year later, to a woman who would be a perfect First Lady, and even added a step brother Bennett who is politically savvy. She does what is expected of her, making appearances, but managing to escape a little with her best friend, Danielle. Then Danielle is killed, and someone makes it look like Hailey might have done it ... so begins the twist that leads to this woman finally escaping the political life altogether and finding herself.

A PERFECT LIE will have you on the edge of your seat. If you put it down, you will find yourself thinking about what could possibly happen next. I felt for Hailey, especially after the loss of her mother who had allowed the girl a bit more freedom, but as the pages turn you realize there was always something happening behind closed doors even then.

A PERFECT LIE is written in a riveting way, the beginning of each chapter starts with Hailey's today thoughts then it goes back to the past, and with each chapter the reader comes closer to the present. You do get caught up in this young woman's world and find yourself waiting for the next problem that must be fixed. As part of her world, you get to meet Rudolf, a bodyguard of sorts who is not there to protect her but to protect the future president's reputation; F.B.I. Agent Jake Bridges, who might or might not be on her father's payroll, and Logan Casey, an attorney she meets in Colorado, where she is exiled for a while, who doesn't want anything from Hailey but Hailey for herself. She also meets people in the little Colorado town where she has been exiled who like her and even after they find out who she is are still more than willing to be friends.

A PERFECT LIE is really twisted in a way that makes you wonder how could anyone live this way. When the truth about Danielle comes out, it is a completely unexpected and total shock. Of course, Monroe loses the election, but even that isn't the real ending ... that comes six years later when Hailey is happily settled away from that crazy world. But, I must leave all that for the readers to find out what happens for themselves. Suffice it to say; you will be blown away.

SUMMARY

Secrets. Lies. A man. There's always a man. And there's always a truth to be told.

I'm Hailey Anne Monroe. I’m twenty-eight years old. An artist, who found her muse on the canvas because I wasn’t allowed to have friends or even keep a journal. And yes, if you haven’t guessed by now, I’m that Hailey Anne Monroe, daughter to Thomas Frank Monroe, the man who was a half-percentage point from becoming President of the United States. If you were able to ask him, he’d probably tell you that I was the half point. But you can’t ask him, and he can’t tell you. He’s dead. They’re all dead and now I can speak.
