"The Grave Witch now must investigate fae murders..."

Grave Destiny

Fantasy Urban | Romance Paranormal

Alex Craft, planeweaver and grave witch, returns in GRAVE DESTINY, Kalayna Price's sixth book in the  Alex Craft series. Alex has recently discovered she is fae, and it's so fun to watch her bumbling around as she figures out what to do with her heritage. This paranormal series provides plenty of action and mystery to propel the reader along. Please note, readers will want to enjoy this series in order.

Alex is part owner of Tongues of the Dead, a company specializing in raising shades after death to answer loved one's questions or maybe to figure out a who-done-it. But now Alex is compelled to raise the stakes and investigate Faerie deaths, where her powers are more circumscribed. In this task, she is assisted by Falin, her roommate, and former lover, and Dugan, her unasked-for fiancé and Shadow Court prince, bringing another love(ish) triangle back into Alex's life.

I enjoy reading about Alex! She has gumption, and that persistence is needed in spades throughout GRAVE DESTINY. Alex must traipse through multiple fae courts on the trail of a group of magical killers while trying to avoid her own cursed death. The fae, as one would expect, are petty, vindictive, and unreasonable - all the things you love to hate!

The Alex Craft series keeps me engaged, and Price does a great job of keeping Alex as an accessible and sympathetic character despite her growing talents and powers. With a robust cast of characters and plenty of danger, Price's GRAVE DESTINY weaves an enthralling tale of intrigue and intrepid sleuthing.

SUMMARY

The thrilling sixth book in the USA Today bestselling Alex Craft series.

The dead tell no tales, unless they have grave witch Alex Craft to speak for them. When a paranormal war threatens, Alex's unique abilities might be the only thing that can stop our world from being changed forever.

Grave witch Alex Craft can speak to the dead, and that makes her a dangerous enemy for anyone with something to hide. . . .

Alex is still trying to come to terms with her changing powers and her growing ties to Faerie when a case she’d rather avoid falls right into her lap. A fae prince desperately needs Alex to investigate a politically sensitive murder. She reluctantly agrees to the case, taking FIB agent Falin Andrews along as her backup.

But as Alex begins to delve into the mystery, she realizes that the intricate web of alliances and intrigue in the Faerie courts is strained to its limits. War is about to break out, one that threatens to spill over into the mortal realm. This murder is tied right to the center of centuries-old arcane unrest, and if Alex isn’t careful she may follow the twisting path ahead of her right into her grave end.
