WHERE I FOUND YOU is the first book in the Sea Series
written by Heidi R. King. This beautiful and breathtaking story
is sure to touch your heart as a coming of age story that
deals with the loss of someone close and falling in love with a
stranger. King will capture your attention from the very
beginning with the perfect balance of love and loss. WHERE I
FOUND YOU is a truly remarkable debut novel for King. King has created a plot that is both breathtaking and
captivating, taking you on a roller coaster ride of emotions.
One minute you will want to cry but you turn the page and then
something wonderful happens making you smile with joy. WHERE I
FOUND YOU is the type of book that speaks to everyone making
you think, and think deep. Once you see the situation the
characters are in, you will look at things around you
differently. The characters in WHERE I FOUND YOU were well thought out and
wonderfully written making you fall in love with them from the
very beginning. Elli is a sweet loving person who has faced
many hard things in her life. While Sienna, the main character
is compassionate and determined. She too has faced a hard past
that has left many emotional scares. There is also a group of
secondary characters that are equally amazing that are sure to
capture your attention. WHERE I FOUND YOU is set in Indonesia. As you read along you
get a true feel of the Indonesian culture. It was fun reading
about the characters as they experience life and the culture of
Indonesia. This makes for the perfect background setting for a
story that is sure to tug at your heart strings. Overall, I really enjoyed reading WHERE I FOUND YOU. I highly
recommend this novel to anyone who is looking for a book that
is full of emotions, love, loss, friendships, and family.
SUMMARY
After her mother's plane went missing over the Indian Ocean,
seventeen-year-old Sienna Jones gave up everything she loved
about living in California. No more surfing. No more
swimming. No more ocean, period. Playing it safe, hiding
from the world, is the best call. Until her dad throws down the challenge of a lifetime: spend
a week with his humanitarian team in Indonesia, working with
orphans who lost everything in a massive tsunami. The day they arrive, Sienna meets a mysterious boy named
Deni, whose dark, intense eyes make her heart race. Their
stolen nights force her to open up and live in a way she
thought she couldn't anymore. When she’s with Deni, she
remembers the girl she used to be...and starts to feel like
the woman he sees in her. A woman he wants for his own. Gulp. But when Deni’s past comes looking for him, Sienna’s faced
with losing another person she loves. She can’t do it. Not
again. Fortunately, this time, she has a plan.
