Sarah MacLean has been clear DAY OF THE DUCHESS is a
cathartic reaction
to the 2016 Election. (If you haven't read it, her piece
in the Washington Times about hope and tenderness and
groveling is worth your time.) She wanted to craft a hero
who was absolutely, 100%, feminist, and still make him

Sera and Haven are cemented in my Top 10 couple list for
this year, and the closing scenes are so perfect that I
have already re-read this book - which I rarely do.

just as soon as she finds her replacement…which requires her
to spend the summer in close quarters with the husband she
does not want, but somehow cannot resist.
A love that neither can deny…
The duke has a single summer to woo his wife and convince
her that, despite their broken past, he can give her
forever, making every day
