Romance Paranormal

Dr. Annie Cryer had been banished by her pack and has been a lone wolf until a call from her former Alpha. If she does this favor, he will forgive her and let her come home. This is really SOMETHING TO HOWL ABOUT but once she gets to Alpha, Washington she wonders what she has gotten herself into. A bear mate, who doesn't believe bears mate?

Grizzly shifter Jonas Browning is worried about his clan. There haven't been any babies born in a really long time, and he fears extinction of his race. Can a genetic scientist be able to give him the answers he needs or will she just cause him more trouble than he ever planned?

SOMETHING TO HOWL ABOUT is the fantastic beginning of a new series by author Christine Warren that takes us to Alpha, Washington and this author's "Others". A town that houses various shifter beings from otters to lions to bears and the hidden and not so hidden lives they lead. Having been a fan of Ms. Warren's "Other" stories I was thrilled to see she has gotten back to her roots shall we say.

The characters, even though they are paranormal beings, seem so realistic. In this I mean they tease, joke, argue, offer unwanted advice and sometimes just be a shoulder or helping hand. The fact that they shift into an animal form only adds to the personalities. Jonas is a jerk. He denies that Annie could be his mate because he was raised to believe that bears do not mate for life. After hearing his families story, I realized that he was only sort of a jerk. Annie is torn between the world she finds at Alpha and the one she left behind but then again ... hunky bear shifter (even if he is an idiot) or pack that turned you away. Not a really big choice.

Though this is a short novella, it is the perfect introduction to this new series offered by a talented author that has shifters, drama, action, sizzle and sweet and will leave you with the desire for more. Get your hands on SOMETHING TO HOWL ABOUT and be ready to be amazed.

SUMMARY

WELCOME TO ALPHAVILLE, where the she-wolves and alpha-males play. . .for keeps, in a brand-new paranormal romance series from New York Times bestselling author Christine Warren.

Dr. Annie Cryer has been called many things: Genius. Child prodigy. Scientific wonder.

Wolf Shifter.

Banished from her pack years ago, Annie’s lone wolf wandering has brought her to Alpha, Washington, home to all shifters who don't quite fit in in the "normal" shifter word. Now Annie has the chance to go back home...if only she can make good on a favor her alpha owes the mayor of “Alphaville.” But it's not much of a favor when you're helping the hottest shifter in town...

Grizzly shifter Jonas Browning has a clan in trouble. They haven't had a child born in over a hundred years...and their clan faces going completely extinct. Genetic scientist Anne Cryer has been sent to help save them. But what Jonas doesn't count on is being irresistibly drawn to the small wolf shifter, and his bear isn't about to let her go...
