Here is a novella that packs a wallop in a relatively
condensed package. There is nothing small or insignificant
about the story Jennifer Ryan tells in MONTANA HEAT:
PROTECTED BY LOVE. You know what they say about size not
mattering, well it certainly holds true for this fabulous
introduction to the Montana Heat series. We meet Caden Cooke and Mia Martin who have been matched up
by their terrifically fabulous aunts. However the whole
dating scene is working against them even actually
meeting. Mia has already been stood up twice. All for
clearly important reasons, but none the less rather
humiliating, making Mia feel candidly crestfallen over
this disastrous attempt by her aunt to help her fill that
void in her life. Caden's work takes over his life. There is definitely a
part of him that longs for a real solid relationship, one
with a future, but who has time to find that special
person. That's why both Caden and Mia are willing to let their
aunts push them together. Hey, it's just dinner and
conversation. If there's nothing there, then so be it. But
that's not the case. The attraction is immediate and both
Mia and Caden are anxious to give it a try. Life isn't easy. Caden's work as a DEA agent is
definitely going to put this new relationship to the test, a
big one. After reading MONTANA HEAT: PROTECTED BY LOVE you will be
first in line for the next book in the Montana Heat series.
Of that I am certain.
SUMMARY
It was DEA Agent Caden Cooke’s third chance to impress
beautiful chef Mia Martin. He’d already stood her up twice,
and was shocked she was even giving him another chance. For
Caden, taking down the bad guys is important, but Mia’s made
it clear there’s no excuse for his bad behavior. So he’s
vowed to make it worth her while with an apology he’s cooked
up just for her. From the moment they meet, it’s clear this isn’t just
another fix up. The sparks flying between them are
undeniable; the tension is electric. Then, suddenly, the
best moments of their lives turn treacherous when a drug
dealer set on revenge puts their lives in danger. And Mia
and Caden quickly realize they will do anything to protect
the other—and live for the love neither of them expected.
