If you are looking for quick Christmas reads, because let's
be honest it is a busy season, and finding time to read can
be hard to come by. CHRISTMAS WITH MY COWBOY by three
prominent romance authors Diana Palmer, Lindsay McKenna and
Margaret Way, will give you just what you need. All three
give different focuses on life, love and the magic of the
Christmas season in these authors varied and wonderful styles.
"The Snow Man" by Diana Palmer finds us in Colorado where
Meadow Dawson has inherited her father's ranch and the
irritating neighbor is someone who has always treated her
with disdain. Top off the problem of her dog always at his
place and his cat at hers and you know that there is bound
to be trouble and romance. Those familiar with Ms. Palmer's
male characters might note that they can be real jerks and I
am afraid I felt that Dal Blake was a big one. He had been
attracted to the younger Meadow and treated her badly in an
effort to keep his distance. This time it very nearly put
the kibosh on the romance side for me. I loved the other
characters in this book and the dog and cat who did their
best to bring them together were the real stars. If I were
to give stars to these stories ... this one would get a
three and a half. Good but ... you have to be in the right
mood for this "hero," though I guess he wasn't all bad ...
Meadow certainly loved him.
"Kassie's Cowboy" by Lindsey McKenna takes readers to a
storm-battered Wyoming. Travis Grant is a former Marine who
lives a solitary life until his childhood sweetheart Kassie
Murphy comes back into his life. A lot of Ms. McKenna's
books deal with military, warriors and PTSD, a real and
horrible side to those who serve in combat and the toll it
takes on not only the soldier but the family. Kassie and
Travis learn to love again and deal with this problem while
adding in the feel of the miracles of Christmas. Not exactly
a happy go lucky story but a really good one with deep
emotion and again the warm vibe of Christmas.
"Her Outback Husband" by Margaret Way will find divorced
Scott and Darcey MacArthur reunited for the holidays. A
horrible misunderstanding ended this perfect couple's
marriage but love will not be denied. One of the places on
my bucket list is Australia and the Outback and whenever I
get the chance to read any of Ms. Way's stories I am there.
I felt for both Scott and Darcey as she is lied to and by
someone she had always trusted, so she, of course, believed
the lie. Her ex-mother-in-law doesn't want the leave things
alone as she knows they belong together so she sets a plan
in action. I enjoyed the atmosphere of the holiday's in the
Outback, the glitzy parties, but I loved the fact that this
couple really loved each other. Great read with romance and
Christmas magic filling the pages.
From the snowy, wind-whipped prairie to the remote
Australian Outback, a cowboy’s loving kiss makes this
Christmas merry and bright . . .
“The Snow Man” by Diana Palmer
Meadow Dawson needs Santa to deliver a solution to her
management of the Colorado ranch she’s inherited. Cattleman
Dal Blake just wants his pretty neighbor’s dog to quit
digging under his fence. This Christmas, the unexpected gift
of love will surprise them both.
“Kassie’s Cowboy” by Lindsay McKenna

Christmas when solitary former Marine Travis Grant finds his
childhood sweetheart, Kassie Murphy, injured in her car just
beyond the ranch where he works. For Travis and Kassie, this
snowy silent night will be one last chance to put the
painful past behind them—and treat the wounds only love can
heal.
“Her Outback Husband” by Margaret Way
