HER ROUGE ALPHA is another good read in the X-OP
series
by Paige Tyler. This one brings us Jayson and Layla's
story. The two are wonderful together but Jayson is
dealing with the past mission that he was leading. One
that left him with scars on both the outside and inside.
As much as he needs Layla's help and support she seems to
be the one that he continues to push away. Will they be
able to work through their problems to find that happy
ever after or is it all too late and for nothing? I really like Jayson and Layla and seeing their
relationship begin to go down in flames was sad to see
but as the two begin to realize what is at stake they
start to fight for their love. Both characters are strong
but Jayson is dealing with healing and not being the man
he thinks he should be. Layla loves her man but how much
more of his pushing her away can she take? Yet when danger comes calling Jayson is more than ready
to be the man everyone knows he is. Jayson and Layla go
on separate missions but his is for someone not to be
trusted. Will Layla and their friends be able to reach
Jayson in time or is it already too late? Layla and Jayson are two characters that I have enjoyed
in previous books and was glad to see them get their own
story told. I really liked Layla. She is a strong and
determined lady. She will not let anything get in her
way, not even Jayson. He is a good man and once he
realizes his mistakes and figures out the truth of
things, he sets his mind to make things right and to
fight for what he wants in his life. This book is full of emotions and moves at a good pace.
The author does a good job of mixing the action and
romance together to pull you in. I was quickly pulled
into this world and cannot wait to return to see just
what will happen next.
