Thriller | Suspense

In THE MARRIAGE LIE Iris and Will, married seven years, have made the decision to have a family. They are baby making in their dream-come-true Victorian house. Will presents his wife with a little red box from Cartier. Inside is a gorgeous trinity ring, three bands of tiny diamonds; pink for love, yellow for fidelity and white for friendship. Will tells Iris he likes the symbolism, you, me and baby-to-be. He will be leaving in a short time for a conference in Orlando where he will be the keynote speaker. Will is a Senior Software Engineer with an Atlanta Software Consulting firm, he is brilliant and rising in the ranks at his company. Iris is a psychologist, and a school counselor at Lake Forrest Academy, an exclusive, school for the very rich, spoiled and pampered children of the mega rich in Atlanta. Their life seems serene and happy.

One afternoon, everything changes for Iris. She receives a telephone call from Liberty Airlines telling her that Will was aboard their flight 23 from Atlanta to Seattle which crashed killing all passengers aboard. Shocked and insisting Will is in Orlando, Iris begins calling Will, but no answer. As time passes and she does not hear from her husband, Iris begins to look for answers to the many things that do not add up. She, along with her twin brother, Dave travel to Seattle, where many dark secrets are uncovered. Discovery of Will's disadvantaged childhood, his father in a state hospital when Iris was told Will had no parents. Why did Will tell her he grew up in Memphis? A twisty and gripping journey begins for Iris with lies, betrayals in a tangled web that shocks and unsettles her. She meets Corban, a friend of Will's from the gym who knows so much about Iris but she has never heard him mentioned from Will. Evan Sheffield, an attorney who lost his wife and daughter in the same crash, becomes a helpful friend. Her family wants to help but Iris wants to go it alone.

THE MARRIAGE LIE by Kimberly Belle is an emotional thriller that pulls out all the stops. Shocking revelations begin to produce more and more questions. Too many lies? Who is telling the truth? Who do you trust? And the most urgent question, how much do you about the man you married? In the unexpected and surprising ending, I thought about this book for days after I closed the cover. I decided that I would not make the same decision in a similar situation. Belle writes with strong emotions and grief is explored in depth. The many layered plot with characters that upset and confuse will have you on a wild ride in search of answers. If you are looking for a psychological edge-of-your-seat read, this one is for you. Enjoy and make your own decisions for the ending.

Everyone has secrets...

Iris and Will have been married for seven years, and life is as close to perfect as it can be. But on the morning Will flies out for a business trip to Florida, Iris's happy world comes to an abrupt halt: another plane headed for Seattle has crashed into a field, killing everyone on board and, according to the airline, Will was one of the passengers.

Grief stricken and confused, Iris is convinced it all must be a huge misunderstanding. Why did Will lie about where he was going? And what else has he lied about?
