The Cowboy and the Baby

Romance Western

We're back in Forever Texas and Marie Ferrarella uses THE COWBOY AND THE BABY as her introduction to a new family sure to win your hearts, capture your imagination and make you smile. THE COWBOY AND THE BABY is the first story featuring the McCulloughs, three brothers and a sister who managed to stay together through the devotion and tenacity of oldest brother Connor with a bit of help from this wonderful small town of Forever Texas.

You might say Devon Bennett is having a bit of bad luck or karma. The man she thought would give her the love and stability of a family ran off in the middle of the night taking her money and possessions with him. Yeah, a real salt of the earth.

Devon hopped into her truck, the only thing she had left and set off to get her stuff back. But there was a slight hiccup in her plan. Devon was two weeks from giving birth to their child and once in the truck it became apparent that nature had moved up the date.

So that's how Devon wound up on the side of the road leading to Forever, contractions started and desperately in need of help. Not much traffic on this road but luck or fate was on her side.

Cody was having some issues getting work, wound up on horseback and luckily heard Devon's screams. Not the most auspicious introduction but Cody was a rock and this experience was certain to change many lives.

Forever opens it heart and doors to people in need and the latest arrival was a likely candidate for their generosity and care. Devon can't believe how well she and her baby are cared for by virtual strangers. She has spent her life looking for a real home and future with people that care and value her. Could be she landed in the place of her dreams.

Welcome to the McCullough's, the newest family and friends courtesy of Marie Ferrarella. All Ferrarella characters touch you and wind up becoming friends. So THE COWBOY AND THE BABY is surely welcomed by this fan. Marie Ferrarella reminds us that people are generally good hearted and Forever Texas albeit small is filled with big hearted folks. Folks that don't judge others. Folks that welcome newcomers.

SUMMARY

THE WRANGLER'S SPECIAL DELIVERY

When the father of her baby bails, Devon Bennett finds herself in a difficult position. As in "giving birth in a truck on the side of a road" difficult. Devon's never felt more alone, until a hunky cowboy rides in to save the day.

Deputy Cody McCullough can't shake the feeling that Devon and her baby still need him, and not just because they're staying at his ranch. It's obvious that the single mom's heart has been broken before and trusting this cowboy lawman doesn't come easily. But Cody will do whatever it takes to make Devon feel safe again…and to see that her heart finally has a home.
