HARD TO HANDLE is the third book in The
Fortis Series about a
former government group with covert ops experience that the
wealthy call upon when the police are not an option. This
story is about the gorgeous Scotsman in the group who
frequently uses Scottish phrases, especially when he is
sexually excited and when he's frustrated. Samuel Mackenzie
draws much attention just from his physique. But imagine the
attention he draws when he's running down the street wearing a
kilt that's flapping in the wind as he's chasing a car. HOT,
HOT, HOT!!!!!!!!! It's enough to stop traffic!!!!! Sam has the assignment of protecting a European real estate
investor against a competitor who is attempting to block a
multi-million dollar deal. Not only does he have to protect
this investor but he also has to protect his assistant who
happens to be his mistress. This assistant is someone from
Sam's past and the relationship did not end well. When Sam
sees Mikayla Stone-Clement again it will bring back memories
of a mistake he unknowingly made that if revealed could affect
his relationship with one of his Fortis partners. Working
closely with Mikayla and his Fortis Group Sam feels he has to
reveal the secret he has kept for four years. The story that Mikayla gives Sam about her and her boss turns
out not to be as it appears. When the threats on her life
advance to the extreme Mikayla finally comes clean with the
team. The Fortis Team does what they do best. They use their
covert ops and cyber-surveillance skills to get to the bottom
of who's threatening Mikayla and why. Four years ago when Samuel and Mikayla met they unknowingly
crossed a line that they felt there was no coming back from.
But now that everything is in the open is there a chance for
them to have a relationship without damaging a valued
friendship? This is a great series about a group of skilled
and brilliant operatives who work like a symphony when solving
cases.
