Romance Contemporary

Alex McAllister is living out her dreams. Adopting her daughter and raising her with her two sisters and their adopted daughters as well. She is even trying to buy the bakery that she works in. That all comes crashing down when her sister's boyfriend tells her that there is a man claiming he is the biological father of her daughter. Alex's world starts to slowly fall apart, but that won't stop her from trying to protect what is hers.

Seven years ago Hayden Brooks had a one night stand with a woman who is now claiming that she was pregnant with his baby. Now Hayden will stop at nothing to get what is his. All he has to do is get past the adopted mother, but something about Alex keeps pulling him in closer to her crazy life.

Welcome back to Still Harbor! Victoria James has spun yet another amazing story. I loved how this book picked up right after Falling for the P.I. (the first book in the Still Harbor series) left off. Victoria James gives you Alex and Hayden's story, but at the same time you get to see how Kate and Matt are doing.

I could not put this book down! It was an emotional roller coaster from page one. Alex McAllister is such a strong character. She had a rough childhood but that never stopped her from trying to live out her dreams and be the best mother that she can be. Hayden is a character that you really hate at first, then slowing get to know the real him and it's like you instantly see him in a different light and love him even more. I loved the little twist at the end of the story. I felt like it pulls everyone even closer together.

SUMMARY

A sweet category romance from Entangled's imprint...

She's falling for the one man who could destroy everything...

Alex McAllister always dreamed of a life filled with the laughter and love of a family, but being abandoned at a young age left her wary of letting anyone in. Now that she's settled in Still Harbor, Alex struggles between keeping her distance and the magnetic pull of the handsome stranger who claims he's the biological father of her adopted daughter.

Hayden Brooks never wanted to be a father. Long hours spent building his family's real estate empire suits him just fine. But when he discovers an ex put the baby he unknowingly fathered up for adoption, his world crumbles. He tracks the child to Still Harbor with the intention of bringing her home-and comes face to face with his daughter's stunning adoptive mother.

The paternity test is in. And Hayden's about to make the most shocking decision of his life, just in time for Christmas...
