Romance Paranormal

As always anything from Jayne Castle, especially her futuristic world of Harmony is a completely attention engrossing session. ILLUSION TOWN takes us into the glitz and glamour of this world's equivalent of our Las Vegas, where dreamlight expert and a crystal mining engineer find happily ever after. Eventually.

Elias Coopersmith and Hannah West finally go on a date after dealing on line and having developed a nice repartee with one another only to wake up in a cheap motel with little memory of the night before. It slowly comes back in bits and pieces especially when Elias finds a marriage certificate in his pocket. Bikers, running through the alien tunnels, using too much energy and getting ready to crash ... and that's just the start of the strange night that explains the M.C. (marriage of convenience).

ILLUSION TOWN is a mesmerizing, fun and fascinating read. As this couple searches for answers Elias develops a real feel for the Dark Zone (aka DZ), Hannah's little part of the world, its people and the family feel that enfolds them all. He's hopeful that the family feelings will extend to him as he finds he likes being part of Hannah and her world. Hannah has her issues as she was abandoned to her aunts as an infant and her "talent" is one that is considered unstable leaving the person fragile and dangerous. Working with Elias soon shows that not to be the case, for no one is tougher than Hannah especially when it comes to those she cares about. Oh ... my I almost forgot about our little dustbunny buddy, Virgil, and anyone who is a fan of these books knows that the dustbunny is an important member of the family.

There are a lot of very interesting supporting characters, some you will love and others you will feel less friendly toward. Author Jayne Castle (also known as Jayne Ann Krentz) spins her characters in ways that give you an immediate feeling toward them, even going so far as to give her readers the chance to feel sympathetic, until she throws out the final scenes showing the true bad guys. If you want a sexy and strong hero, loving and determined heroine, a sense of danger and determination to protect, then this world is the world you want to be a part of. For a special treat get your hands on ILLUSION TOWN, sit back, grab a cup of tea or glass of wine, and get ready because as they say "in ILLUSION TOWN, the thrills are real."

SUMMARY

A new adventure begins on Harmony…

With its opulent casinos and hotels, the desert city of Illusion Town is totally unique—and will take you on a thrill ride you’ll never forget.

Hannah West isn’t the first woman to wake up in Illusion Town married to a man she barely knows, but she has no memory of the ceremony at all. For that matter, neither does Elias Coppersmith, her new husband. All either can remember is that they were on the run…

With Hannah’s dubious background and shaky para-psych profile, she could have done much worse. The coolly competent mining heir arouses her curiosity—as well as other parts of her mind and body. And even her dust bunny likes him.

But a honeymoon spent retracing their footsteps leads Hannah and Elias into the twisting underground catacombs, where secrets from both their pasts will come to light—and where the energy of their clashing auras will grow hot enough to burn…
