Shannon had a rough life. She went from foster home to foster
home, never feeling like part of a family.
Shannon thought she had escaped all that when she married
Jeff, but she could not give up her old life of drinking
and drugs. Even when she had her daughter Olivia, she
just couldn't handle it, and Shannon leaves Jeff
and her daughter. Fast forward about five years and Shannon has
become
a different person. She and Olivia are
reunited, and Shannon has given up her old life and now is
concentrating on becoming a good mother.
She works in a diner and everyday a man comes in and
sits in her section. He is good looking, but Shannon
isn't ready for any kind of relationship. Jonah
continues to pursue Shannon, but the only problem is Jonah comes
from a very powerful
family. Shannon knows she will never fit in, especially because
Jonah's parents do not care for her.
They have big dreams for Jonah like running for office.
Kris Jayne, you bring romance to a whole new level. I
really love the Thirsty Hearts series; CHERISHING YOU is
the third in the series. Kris's writing is great, or I
would never have read this many in the series. Her writing
reminds me a lot of other bestselling romance authors,
Jill Shalvis and Nora Roberts. In
CHERISHING YOU we also have characters from previous books in the
series. This to me is what makes a great series. I love catching
up on ones from previous books. You really don't need
to read the series in order since you can get caught up
on who is who. Sit back and let your mind wonder as to
who would be CHERISHING YOU. Get a glass of wine and
let the romance begin.
