Women's Fiction

Ivy is a makeup artist. Fisher is a director of commercials. They meet and the next thing you know they are a couple. The only problem is neither one of them know much about each other. As they try to find out where this is going, Ivy tells Fisher she is going to have his baby. While this comes as a shock to Fisher, he is trilled. But can a relationship of nineteen days handle this?

Fischer and Ivy realize there are going to be many obstacles for them to overcome. Both have secrets they are keeping from each other; Fisher has a best friend who is dying and Ivy a first marriage, which failed. Being in a relationship is hard, having a baby so quick is hard; can these two deal with it?

THE TWO OF US is the first book I have read by Andy Jones. While most of this book is written from Fischer's point of view, Jones does tell both sides of the story. I really like the way that he tells the backstory for both Ivy and Fisher. There are a few secondary characters who play a large part in this book: one is Fisher best friend who is dying, which is a sad story in itself. I would like to see a sequel to THE TWO OF US.

Love, laughter, tears...THE TWO OF US has it all.

SUMMARY

A charming, unconventional love story about a couple who embark on a wildly passionate, two-week fling that will change both of their lives forever. If you loved One Day and The Rosie Project, you will fall head-over-heels for The Two of Us.

Anyone can fall in love. But not everyone can stay there.

Fisher and Ivy have been an item for all of nineteen days. Both of them have been in relationships before, and this time around, they know something is different—they are meant to be together. The fact that they know little else about each other is a minor detail.

But over the next year, a time in which their lives are irrevocably altered, Fisher and Ivy discover that falling in love is one thing—and staying there is an entirely different story.

The Two of Us is a charming, honest, laugh-out-loud novel about life, love, and the importance of taking neither one for granted.
