Only author Sara Humphreys would think to take a cowboy
with a lollipop fetish and turn him into a sexy vampire.
That is just what she does with Dakota Shelton, and then
she
teams him up with a punk rocker vampire like Trixie
LaRoux and they are ... combustible. Two beings that should
not mix at all ... mix oh-so-well in this Dead in the
City series book THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE VAMPIRE. It
might be the fourth of the series but you don't need to
have read the other three to know exactly what is going on.
The dialogue and plot will pull you right along with the
fast pace without a hitch.
I love Dakota. When his past is brought up and we find
he had been duped, Dakota is ready to face his punishment,
but
this time Trixie is all in and not about to let anything
happen to her cowboy. She has a few secrets of her own, and
when they come to light you realize her persona is pretty
much a cover for a softy. As you can guess, beneath her
punker outfits and wild colored hair beats a tender heart.
Wait ... do vampires have hearts? Oh well, you know what I
mean. When Trixie loves, she loves and she protects with
everything she has.
If you are looking for a fantastic read filled with action,
hot steamy sex, sweet romance, a secret or two and a woman
who's gonna do all she can for the love of her life, then
you most certainly want to get your hands on THE GOOD, THE
BAD, AND THE VAMPIRE.
Beloved author Sara Humphreys' acclaimed paranormal romance series continues with sweltering attraction between two vampires who have all the time in the world to satisfy their desires...He wants eternity? Dakota Shelton is a vampire cowboy with a penchant for cinnamon lollipops and Johnny Cash. Though highly skilled and deadly dangerous to his enemies, he's still a Texas good ol' boy at heart. And he has that heart set on wooing Trixie LaRoux-the most badass punk rock chick in town-the old-fashioned way. Over her undead body... Trixie is tough as nails and sharp as a silver stake-the last thing she wants is a man to sit on a porch and not grow old with. So it'll take going to hell and back fighting a new threat to vampires before she admits Dakota's courtship makes her blood hum. Turns out chivalry's not dead after all.
