HIGHLAND SPITFIRE is the first book in the Highland
Weddings series by Mary
Wine. The story started with two hotheaded highlanders
blackmailed by the
King's Regent, the earl of Morton: the choice to marry each
other and end
the feud or watch their families and captains hang. They
choose marriage with the hope of
annulment.
When Bhaic see the spirited Ailis is willing to sacrifice
her future
to end the feud, he decides to keep the beautiful spitfire
as
his wife and forgets about the annulment. But can he trust
her
and make his people respect her, even while he is
controlling his passion in order
to court her properly.
Ailis knows it is not easy to live among the enemy, but she
is strong and
wants to be the mistress of the MacPherson castle. Luckily
her husband
is a desirable man with the kind heart. Can she win his
trust and the
MacPhersons respects......
This is the second book I read by Mary Wine, and I must say
HIGHLAND SPITFIRE is so captivating
and amazing. From the first page, she catches
your attention with her characters, plots and the sizzling
chemistry between
hero and heroine. You hardly notice the story is almost
over.
Thank you, Mary Wine, I really enjoyed reading HIGHLAND
SPITFIRE!
