My Kind of Wonderful

Romance Contemporary

Having spent the last ten years fighting to stay alive, Bailey Moore is now ready to embrace life, and tick off all those important things on her list. Even though her mother and ex- fiance still mollycoddle her and look at her with pity in their eyes, Bailey refuses to let them get to her. She is finally ready to take control of her life, and she cannot wait to get started. And first on her list is to complete a mural commissioned by the Cedar Ridge Resort. Able to experiment with her artistic flair and spend time in the beauty of the Rocky mountains, what more could a girl want? Maybe a sexy ski patrol officer, who really sees the true her, and who makes her tingle all over.

Hudson Kincaid has his hands full - Head of ski patrol, helping with the family resort, working shifts as the local cop, as well as taking care of his mother who has dementia. The last thing he needs is a pretty distraction like Bailey Moore, on his mind. But as they form a friendship that sizzles with passion, Hudson struggles with what is happening between them. Because a fling just won't be enough. But with burdens from the past weighing him down, Hudson knows he can never be the man Bailey deserves. Is it possible for love to overcome all, in this wonderful tale?

MY KIND OF WONDERFUL by Jill Shalvis is the second novel in the Cedar Ridge series. With characters that come alive, MY KIND OF WONDERFUL is a beautiful romance, which instantly gripped me, and I could not put it down. Bailey is such a fighter and so strong, but her vulnerability and need to be treated like anyone else, is also perfectly conveyed. Hudson is also a strong character - loyal, hard-working and determined - but he has many hidden depths and emotions he struggles to confront. With plenty of sizzle, friendships, realizations and misunderstandings, MY KIND OF WONDERFUL by Jill Shalvis is another perfect read from this truly talented author, and I cannot wait to return to Cedar Ridge.

SUMMARY

UNEXPECTED AND UNDENIABLE . . .

Bailey Moore has an agenda: skiing in the Rockies, exploring castles in Europe, ballroom dancing in Argentina. Now that she has a second lease on life, she's determined not to miss a thing. What she doesn't realize is that item #1 comes with a six-foot-one ski god hot enough to melt a polar ice cap. She doesn't want to miss out on him either, but Hudson Kincaid isn't the type of guy to love and let go. And as gorgeous as Cedar Ridge is, she's not planning to stick around.

As head of ski patrol at his family's resort, Hud thinks he's seen it all. But never has he run into someone like Bailey. She might look delicate, but her attitude is all firecracker. And her infectious joy touches something deep within him that he's been missing far too long. Now he'll just have to convince Bailey to take a chance on her biggest adventure yet . . . something rare and all kinds of wonderful.
