Romance Contemporary

Gage Hunter heads for pizza and a beer after his latest op. Gage is a USMC sniper stationed at Bagram AFB in Afghanistan and is looking to wind down and have some time off after his last mission. Gage runs into his good friend Matt Culver and Matt's twin sister Alexa at a pizza joint on base. Alexa is an A-10 Warthog combat pilot with the Air Force and is also stationed at Bagram.

Gage and Alexa hit it off right away. Alexa talks Gage into helping her take a shipment of goods from her family's charity, Delos Charities, to an Afghan village. He gladly tags along, wanting to get to know Alexa a lot better. Just as they are meeting the village chief, they are ambushed by Taliban soldiers. Alexa and several other medical personnel (all ladies) are captured and taken off to be sold as sex slaves.

Gage and a SEAL team, along with Artemis Security, plan a mission to rescue Alexa and the other ladies. Will they find them in the intricate cave systems of the Hindu-Kush Mountains before they are sold and carried across the border? Will Gage and Alexa have time together to get to know each other and see where their relationship is headed? Can you truly fall in love in three days?

Lindsay McKenna continues her Delos series with Alexa's story. BROKEN DREAMS is military romance at its best. The story is fast-paced and riveting with chemistry between the main characters that is like dynamite. Gage and Alexa, although tough military personnel when they have to be, also have a surprising soft side that makes them especially endearing. BROKEN DREAMS is a touching story about loss and putting the pieces of your shattered dreams back together. There are several twists and turns to this story that will have you wondering where it will head next. It certainly isn't predictable.

I'm looking forward to where the Delos series is headed next. I can't wait for Ms. McKenna's novella, SECRET DREAM (out the end of January), which will add to Lia and Cav's story from NOWHERE TO HIDE. Do not miss any of this new series!
