Kylie Stafford is having a bad, bad time since the day of
her graduation. She lost
her awesome internship, her home, and her boyfriend. Her
education seems like a waste
and future bleak. Kylie doesn't know where she went wrong;
after all she did
everything expected of her, everything right. What if she
did the exact opposite?
What more can go wrong?
Bucked by her best friend, Kylie makes her first bad
decision: make a move on the
tattoo covered badass standing in the bathroom line. It is
only after the mind
blowing kiss, she finds out he is her rock idol, Cam
Watson. Following this she gets
a temporary job offer and then a chance to become a roadie
for a month with secret
binging on Cam. But her one deliberate wrong decision after
another only makes things
feel so right especially when she begins falling for him?
Now Kylie needs to decide
if her wrong decisions have finally shown her what, where,
and with whom she is meant
to be with or will she go back to following the right path
defined by others for her
as before?
THE OPPOSITE OF RIGHT is an absolutely delightful and
sizzling read. Both the leads,
Cam and Kylie are not just fun people but they have depth
and personality. I love how
Kylie went about her wrong decisions. Some of the actions
honestly took guts and were
admirable. And Cam. He is a gem of a person. He knows where
he went wrong in the past
and feels guilty, yet that does not make him cynical. He is
responsible and caring.
He knows what he wants and is willing to take the chance
once he has made his
decision. Kylie is a perfect match for him.
The supporting characters are also fun with a voice of
their own. What I don't like
about THE OPPOSITE OF RIGHT... Why is it so short? Yes it a
novella but still. I
could not put it down once I began, and then it finished.
The next book is out next
year. I want more and I want more NOW! I did like the
concept of Kylie's degree and
the rock band but also wished a little more was mentioned
about their performances to
make it more vibrant. Still, THE OPPOSITE OF RIGHT is one
sizzling light-hearted,
feel good, fun read which will leave you wanting... no not
wanting but craving more.
This short novella will not only turn up the heat for you
but will also make you
laugh and cry for the characters.
Kylie Stafford has spent her whole life doing exactly what’s
expected. The right major, the right sorority, the right
guys, just like her mother and her sister before her. But
when everything falls apart for her, Kylie wonders if doing
everything right has been utterly wrong. There’s only one
way to find out.
She decides to try making all the wrong choices for three
months. Hit on a tattoo-covered rock musician? Check. Go
back to his dressing room for a hot hook-up against the
wall? Gulp. Drop everything to be a roadie for him to binge
on more of the best sex of her life? Maybe. Start falling
for him despite her better judgment? Um….yeah. Figure out
why doing everything that seems wrong feels so darn right?
