At a time after a New Hope and before The Empire Strikes Back,
the Rebel Army is fighting the Empire on many fronts. One of
the groups fighting hard to defeat the Empire is Twilight
Company. Lead by Captain Howl, they'd fight and die to stop
the evil that the Emperor is spreading.
As they leave Haldoral Prime, the local Governor begs to depart
along with them, offering any information she can give on the
Empire to save herself. Governor Chalis, though not completely
trusted, gives Twilight Company information that helps them
claim small victories that take large tolls on the Empire's
forces.
Now as Lord Vader searches for Luke Skywalker, he sends
another group to search for Chalis, thus putting the small
group of rebels in more even more danger.
BATTLEFRONT: TWILIGHT COMPANY follows this small
group of rebels around the Mid Rim as they fight against the
Empire. The story follows closely Sergeant Hazram Namir
from his youth to his current position. You also follow the
life of an individual Stormtrooper, Thara Nyende as she
watches her planet, Sullust, fall apart.
As a lover of Star Wars, BATTLEFRONT: TWILIGHT COMPANY was
not a disappointment. The storyline is the basis for the new
Star Wars video game. I personally don't play video games but
I enjoyed the story. I love the world and the characters in
it. Many of the characters are new to the timeline
of the Star Wars universe, yet some of the old favorites are
mentioned. Anyone who loves of sci-fi, fantasy or Star Wars
can't miss this exciting, battle-filled book by Alexander
Freed. Star Wars books aren't just stories; they are part of a
world many of us have loved since we were children, a world
that BATTLEFRONT: TWILIGHT COMPANY puts you back into.
A companion novel inspired by the hotly anticipated
videogame Star Wars: Battlefront, this action-packed
adventure follows a squad of soldiers caught in the trenches
of the ultimate galactic war between good and evil.
The bravest soldiers. The toughest warriors. The ultimate
survivors.
Among the stars and across the vast expanses of space, the
Galactic Civil War rages. On the battlefields of multiple
worlds in the Mid Rim, legions of ruthless
stormtroopers—bent on crushing resistance to the Empire
wherever it arises—are waging close and brutal combat
against an armada of freedom fighters. In the streets and
alleys of ravaged cities, the front-line forces of the Rebel
Alliance are taking the fight to the enemy, pushing deeper
into Imperial territory and grappling with the savage
flesh-and-blood realities of war on the ground.
Leading the charge are the soldiers—men and women, human and
nonhuman—of the Sixty-First Mobile Infantry, better known as
Twilight Company. Hard-bitten, war-weary, and ferociously
loyal to one another, the members of this renegade outfit
doggedly survive where others perish, and defiance is their
most powerful weapon against the deadliest odds. When orders
come down for the rebels to fall back in the face of
superior opposition numbers and firepower, Twilight
reluctantly complies. Then an unlikely ally radically
changes the strategic equation—and gives the Alliance’s
hardest-fighting warriors a crucial chance to turn retreat
into resurgence.
Orders or not, alone and outgunned but unbowed, Twilight
Company locks, loads, and prepares to make its boldest
maneuver—trading down-and-dirty battle in the trenches for a
game-changing strike at the ultimate target: the very heart
of the Empire’s military machine.
