In the fourth book of the Chaos series, Kristen Ashley presents readers
with
a second chance love story between Millie and High. Millie has harbored
feelings for bad boy biker Logan "High" Judd for years, but even though they
were each other's greatest love, they broke things off in an effort to live
better lives. Now, twenty years later, High has gotten a divorce and is still
working on things with his kids when the love of his life walks back into his
life. Millie and High's romance is far from over, but it seems that it won't be
as simple as a smile to get Millie back.
I've been a fan of Kristen Ashley's work for a very long time and the
Chaos
series has been one of my favorite series to devour. While Ashley writes
badass bikers, there's always an underlining thread of sweetness that comes
through in her heroes, and High is no exception. While he may not be my
favorite of Ashley's heroes, there's still plenty to keep readers swooning.
Ashley enjoys giving her characters a complicated past. As those
demons come to the forefront in these novels, you really get to see the
characters battle their way to the top. WALK THROUGH FIRE is such a fitting
title for this story because you get to see the lengths people would go
through for love. If that isn't swoonworthy, then I don't know what else is.
Similar in feel to some of Ashley's most loved books, WALK THROUGH FIRE
hits all the right notes and is sure to be another winner for loyal fans.
Millie Cross knows what it's like to burn for someone. She was young and wild and he
was fierce and even wilder-a Chaos biker who made her heart pound. They fell in love
at first sight and life was good, until she learned she couldn't be the woman he needed
and made it so he had no choice but to walk away. Twenty years later, Millie's chance
run-in with her old flame sparks a desire she just can't ignore. And this time, she won't
let him ride off . . .
Bad boy Logan "High" Judd has seen his share of troubles with the law. Yet it was a
beautiful woman who broke him. After ending a loveless marriage, High is shocked
when his true love walks back into his life. Millie is still gorgeous, but she's just a ghost
of her former self. High's intrigued at the change, but her betrayal cut him deep-and
he doesn't want to get burned again. As High sinks into meting out vengeance for
Millie's betrayal, he'll break all over again when he realizes just how Millie walked
through fire for her man . . .
