How far would you go to save your family's company? In BIND by Sierra
Cartwright, Lara Bertrand asks herself that very question and her answer is
what ever it takes, even if it takes marrying Connor Donovan. Will he consider
the idea or will he toss her out of his office? For Lara there is only one way
out. She must take a chance and ask Connor for his help. If the two have a
chance at making things work they must compromise and work together. But
from the beginning they make sure that love is not on the table. Emotions
have their own agenda, and whether or not your head says no to love, your
heart may have something else to say about it.
I really enjoyed BIND. Connor and Lara are not only hot together, but they
make a good couple in and out of the bedroom. Both are strong and
independent people who must learn to share and work as a unit. Love does
not come easily for Connor, but something in Lara not only intrigues him but
calls to him. Her reactions to him and his world only emphasize how well they
fit together. How can Connor fight against the tide of love? Will it finally be his
downfall? Lara is a good woman and only wants to save what her father
worked so hard to create. I loved seeing her open up and blossom with the
help of Connor. She begins to find her own strength with his help. Watching
their relationship take shape was a beautiful read. Just when the two think
they have things all figured out their emotions come into play and throw them
for a loop. Things become complicated when your heart enters the game.
BIND is a beautiful story about two people who were never looking but finding
the love that they deserve. I enjoyed seeing their story unfold, and I would be
remiss if I did not mention the wonderful scene stealing genius. Those of you
who read Sierra Cartwright will know just who I am talking about. As soon as I
read those words "A genius is trying to reach you," I got excited. It was great
to see Julien make an appearance in this book and Kennedy mentioned as
well. It weaves their worlds together nicely. I also came to adore Thompson,
and would love to learn more about him. I do hope that he gets his own story
told.
BIND is a wonderfully paced story with great characters full of emotions that
should not be missed.
