Vampires have been around for ages, and whether or not you love love them or hate them, it looks like they do not plan on going away soon. Since my very first introduction to vampires, I have loved them. From scary to romantic and even humorous, vampires seem to come in every shape and size. THE VAMPIRE COMBAT FIELD GUIDE: A COLORING AND ACTIVITY BOOK FOR FIGHTING THE BLOODTHIRSTY UNDEAD is exactly what it says - a guide to vampires and how to kill them. This book is written like an actual field guide someone may take with them on a hunt, or reference while learning the skills to take down a vampire. Even teaching you hand signals and giving you scenarios of what could happen and just what to do.

I thoroughly enjoyed this vampire guide. It's a great addition to any collector's vampire library. This book entertains as well as educates readers on vampire lore. It is a quick read that brings to mind some of today's pop culture. I am not sure if this is to be taken seriously or as satire. Either way it was a fun and engaging read that made me want to share it with others. It even has worksheets with survival questions for readers to answer. How much more fun can you have with learning how to survive a vampire attack? I enjoyed reading about so many different things about fighting vampires. The pictures to color in this book are not very detailed and there is not a lot of information given, but that does not deter you. Most people who enjoy vampires, like myself, will know just about everything in this book but I see it as an entertaining read. THE VAMPIRE COMBAT FIELD GUIDE grabbed my attention and is a great companion to the book the VAMPIRE COMBAT MANUAL. You know I will be getting that one too.

SUMMARY

In The Vampire Combat Manual, Roger Ma, the nation’s preeminent expert in undead warfare, prepared the average citizen to defend against a brutal vampire attack. But without appropriate training, even the most adept slayer of bloodsuckers can be left vulnerable.

Therefore, the Institute for Undead Combat Studies has once again created an essential practice handbook for anyone seeking to avoid serious injury, infection, or death at the hands of a vampire. This comprehensive guide includes:

  • Detailed illustrations to aid in identifying various types of the undead and their vulnerabilities, as well as anatomical drawings you can color to promote knowledge retention
  • Interactive mental and physical exercises that will teach invaluable fighting techniques and prepare you for battle
  • Work pages to hone weapon selection, defensive and offensive techniques, and precise staking strategies
  • and much more!

With the proper preparation, no one need fear death by exsanguination or an eternity spent in darkness. Learn to ward off these bloodthirsty creatures while you can—or say good-bye to your days in the sun…
