Anne Richardson is a wedding planner in Seattle. She never had the wedding of her dreams, but she is determined that her clients will have theirs. When her daughter Laney gets engaged, Anne sets out to make her daughter's wedding just what she believes her daughter has always wanted. But when they begin to talk, her daughter's vision for the wedding does not match up with Anne's.

Roberta Gilbert is the owner of Primrose Haus, a charming Victorian in Icicle Falls that lends itself nicely to beautiful weddings. She's been planning and hosting weddings here for thirty years. Her daughter, Daphne, unexpectedly shows up on her doorstep with disturbing news. Daphne is leaving her third husband and moving back home. Can Roberta and Daphne coexist in the same house?

A client of Anne's brings her to Icicle Falls and Primrose Haus, and Roberta and Anne become fast friends, finding they have much in common. Anne is dealing with what she terms a "Momzilla", but is she becoming one herself? WEDDING ON PRIMROSE STREET is the seventh installment of Sheila Roberts' Life in Icicle Falls series. This is a story about relationships, about dreams that never were fulfilled. As hard as we try not to be our mothers, do we eventually become just like them? Do our daughters always live up to our expectations, or are we trying to live our lives through them?

Anne and Roberta are strong main characters, surrounded by a host of great supporting characters. Ms. Roberts uses humor expertly throughout the pages to keep you turning them to see where these stories of romance lead next. You'll laugh at the humor and cry at the hurt that each lady experiences. This is my fifth visit to Icicle Falls, and I just love to revisit this Alpine town and its residents. At the end of the book, Ms. Roberts includes some recipes mentioned throughout the book and updates us on residents that are not mentioned in this story. You'll get hooked once you read just one of these charming novels.

SUMMARY

There's nothing like a wedding!

The joy, the fun, the memories—the stress. As a wedding planner, Anne Richardson has seen mothers of the bride turn into Momzillas, and she's determined not to do that when it's her daughter's turn to get married. But once Laney gets engaged, all bets are off. Anne becomes obsessed with giving Laney the perfect wedding she herself never had. And that wedding needs to be held in Icicle Falls at Primrose Haus, the perfect setting.

Roberta Gilbert, owner of Primrose Haus, has been hosting events at her charming Victorian for thirty years. She's an expert on weddings, but not on mother-daughter relations. When her daughter, Daphne, comes home and decides to help with the business, the receptions become truly memorable—and not in a good way. Then there's the added complication of Roberta's gardener, who seems more interested in Daphne than he is in planting primroses…

Tying the knot is a business that has everyone tied up in knots!
