As a cozy mystery lover I must say I have really enjoyed reading GHOST IN
THE GUACAMOLE by Sue Ann Jaffarian. With such witty characters, especially
Granny, I could not help but feel delighted while reading this lively novel.
Jaffarian's descriptions of the characters and their daily activities helped you to
imagine them in a way that made you feel they are real. Yes, even Granny,
who is supposed to be a ghost. This is the second in the Ghost of Granny
Apples
Mysteries and is easy to follow without reading the first one.
Medium Emma Whitecastle is on the case with two sisters, Lucinda
and Ricarda Ricardo (also known as Lucy and Rikki), who are in disagreement
about
the family business. After their father dies, Lucy wants to sell the
restaurant to a competitor but Rikki wants to keep it going as she felt that her
father would want that. To prove that, she hires Emma to contact her father, Felix
for advice on how to handle her sister. Emma finds out that Felix wants his
daughter to sell in fear that she might die as he did, leaving Emma to believe
that
his death was not an accident after all. Will Emma, along
with the assists of Granny, be able to get to the bottom of things before it is too
late?
You will laugh as you read a GHOST IN THE GUACAMOLE with Granny's
canny sense of humor. Sue Ann Jaffarian's novel will be pleasing to all who loves
a good cozy mystery.
