HARD LIMIT opens up with a glimpse into Blake's head as he
has to chase after Erica yet again.
Blake and Erica spend some time in Chicago visiting Elliot and
his wife and daughters. Erica finds out more about her life
with her mother, as well as meeting Elliot's two daughters.
Being in Chicago has dug up a lot of emotions from Erica
regarding her past and her mother. As Blake pushes her
sexual limits and her emotions, she is scared to admit that
she likes.
Erica's partnership with Alex and his ecommerce business has
been working well for Clozpin. Apparently so well that Alex
offers to buy Clozpin from Erica, Allie and Sid. She is
seriously considering selling in order to free up some time
to work on other projects. When Allie and Sid have similar
feelings for the sale, she negotiates the deal with Alex
without Blake's assistance or expertise. She negotiates the
sale of Clozpin, including ensuring her current employees can
keep their jobs. She wanted to do this on her own and prove
to everyone and Blake that she could.
When Erica arrives at Clozpin, Allie, Issac and Sophia are
there waiting for her as her new bosses. After selling
Clozpin to Alex, he sold the business to the
two people she would never have sold it too: Issac and
Sophia. Their first order of business is to fire Allie, and
then they want Erica to work under them. Erica refuses and
leaves the company. Knowing all her independence and
stubbornness to do this on her own, she may have just lost
the one thing she had worked so hard for.
When Richard calls Erica to meet, again her curiosity gets
the best of her and she agrees. However the meeting doesn't
go as planned, and one person is dead and another wounded.
HARD LIMIT is the next chapter in Blake and Erica's love
story, and it is extraordinary, to say the least.
The time between them just felt so right. As always,
Wild's attention to staying true to the characters in
this series captivates you from the very beginning, sucks
you in, and leaves you starving for the next page. HARD
LIMIT is Book 4 in the Hacker series, so it is recommended
to read the entire series in order to fully understand the
dynamics of the storyline. Each book has a little of the
next book within it. I thoroughly enjoy this series and
can not wait to see what Meredith Wild has in store for
these two in Book 5, HARD LOVE, due out later this year.
