Romance Historical

THE EARL CLAIMS A BRIDE is the second book in The Heirs' Club series and can be read as a stand-alone book. This is the story of a fourth son who has never imagined claiming the family earldom and a young heroine who has been in love with a dashing captain for years and dreaming to be his wife.

Harrison Thornwick has been the fourth son of an earl and wasn't meant to outlive his three brothers and their sons to claim the earldom. So he has been gambling, drinking and breaking the rules for years. Unfortunately, his father and brothers (even his nephew) are dead, his family house is burned, and he is in charge of the family estate. He feels guilty about ignoring his family and plans to restore his family house and be a responsible earl, but the Prince plans for him to marry the girl he has chosen or go to prison.

Miss Angelina is a beauty and the daughter of a distant relative of the king. She has been getting ready for her first season for the past year and is excited to meet Captain Maxwell, the man she fell in love when she was 16-years-old. Now her father is a dire jeopardy of going to debtor's prison because of a foolish investment in a game of chance, and the only way to avoid prison and settle his debt is for his daughter, Angelina, to marry the earl of Thornwick by the end of season.

When Harrison and Angelina meet each other, can they avoid this marriage or fall in love? I really enjoyed reading this delightful, amazing book by Amelia Grey. Her writing is fun, witty with adorable characters that keep me entertained throughout the whole story. I love her books and can't wait to read more books by her.

BECOME A LOVE FOR ALL TIME?

Miss Angelina Rule is a spectacular beauty, a dream match for any man. But she is fiercely independent - and full of passion - and is all set to rebel against her royal order of marriage...until she meets the devilishly charming Harrison. But little did she and Harrison expect to fall into a tempestuous attraction-and a powerful desire that neither of them can deny...
