There are lots of stories about people looking for their
family. Time and circumstances can drive a seemingly
insurmountable wedge. In A FAMILY FOR THE BULL RIDER Tina
Leonard brings us back to revisit with the Morgan Men. A
FAMILY FOR THE BULL RIDER is the second book in her
Professional Bull Rider limited edition series and is a
reissue. Each book in this series stands alone so you can
jump in any time you want.
A FAMILY FOR THE BULL RIDER is a study on dysfunctional
families. The Morgan's have quite a history of issues and
at the center of these issues is the patriarch Josiah.
When his first wife left many years ago Josiah was left
to raise his sons and it seems as if he ruled with an
iron hand. But the more we learn about the Morgan men the
more enlightened we become to their true personalities
and their hearts. Even when conflicted because of
personality clashes -- these Morgan's have deep rooted
connection to each other.
So when Josiah is facing life saving transplant surgery
the son who has been so distant is summoned back into the
fold. It is Jack's kidney that is the perfect match. Kind
of ironic wouldn't you say.
In A FAMILY FOR THE BULL RIDER Tina Leonard sets out to
tell us a story about a very intricate family tree whose
branches are somehow coming together under one roof.
This reunion is not altogether met with joy by all the
Morgan's. But Josiah is not giving up without a good
fight. He has a lot to live for.
Here's where the search for family comes into play.
Josiah has an open offer -- one million dollars for each
of his sons that comes back to the ranch for a year. Jack
has no wish to leave the bull riding circuit. He has no
need for that million. But then he gets reacquainted with
Cricket. Cricket had been attracted to Jack for a while
and realistic that no one would ever tame this wild man.
The very fact that Jack was willing to give his kidney
was a look into his heart. Perhaps he wasn't untouchable.
Cricket was totally out of her wheel house when dealing
with the likes of Jack Morgan. But her relationship with
his family was solid. Spending time with Jack would lead
Cricket on a route that no one would ever expect. Jack
definitely didn't fit her dream of a prince but he was
going to give her an experience that would last forever.
Life and love are never simple. In A FAMILY FOR THE BULL
RIDER Tina Leonard is pretty brutal and honest about this
difficult family. The reader will quickly get invested in
this cast of strange characters. Strong, vital,
interesting and stubborn. Getting to know the Morgan's is
a treat. A FAMILY FOR THE BULL RIDER is not dependent on
any previous story. Tina Leonard has an entire series
starring the Morgan's so if you are hooked just look them
up and enjoy.
