Thriller | Suspense

Pilot Larry Wadler had the perfect life. Larry has a beautiful wife, child and loves his life as a pilot that is until the day it all comes crashing down. Larry's wife and son are taken and he is forced to land his airplane in a field allowing everyone on board to be taken hostage.

Now Larry must live with what he has done, and do his best to keep everyone on the plane alive. The hostage takers plan to auction off everyone on the plane and the people who get the most money will live others will be killed.

As Larry tries to deal with the hostage takers and passengers on the plane former FBI agent Xanadu Marx is called into help. She is multilingual and asked to translate. The only problem is she just got out of rehab and her previous actions left her without many friends.

COST OF LIFE has many twists and turns as we watch the impact decisions have on the characters' lives. This story line is a new concept on good versus bad and the purpose behind actions are not always what they appear.

Joshua Corin has a hit with COST OF LIFE a great story with flawed characters that leave you wondering just what you would do.

SUMMARY

Happy Independence Day. You’re all going to die. Life can’t be better for veteran pilot Larry Walder. He has a great job, a terrific kid, a gorgeous wife—and no inkling that tonight will be the end of the world as he knows it. In the early hours before the Fourth of July, three men break into Larry’s home. And as the day lurches on to its terrifying course, a life is taken, and Flight 816 from Atlanta to Cozumel, Mexico, vanishes off the radar. In the air, Larry must find a way to save his family, his crew, and his passengers. On the ground, disgraced FBI agent Xanadu Marx goes rogue, making it her mission to track down the missing flight before the hijackers reach their diabolical endgame. With the casualties racking up and the world’s busiest airport under lockdown, a message arrives: This is no ordinary hijacking, no typical hostage crisis. This ransom is a totally different beast—the first hint of a conspiracy that might bring America to its knees.
