Jules Lane has just arrived in Rome, to help plan her
foster
sister, Lizzie's, wedding. Having a damaged past, Jules
doesn't believe in love anymore, but is determined that
Lizzie
will have the wedding of her dreams, because she deserves
it.
Jules hopes that this is a new beginning for both of them,
as they become less dependent on each other, and as Jules
re-
thinks her future plans. What she didn't bet on was the
best
man, Stefano, the groom's handsome, brooding brother.
Stefano cannot understand why his brother Dante, is
rushing
into marriage. Lizzie is lovely, but Stefano knows first
hand
that marriage just doesn't work in their family - just
look at
what happened to him and their father. Being roped in to
help
with the wedding, Stefano never expected to be attracted
and
fascinated by the unusual maid of honour. But the more
time he
spends with Jules the more enamoured he becomes. As he
grapples with his own tragic past, Stefano pushes Jules
away
and hurts her in the process. As the wedding day
approaches
will Stefano realise that he has a second chance at life
with
Jules? And will Jules be able to overcome her traumatic
childhood, and allow herself to fall in love?
BEST MAN FOR THE BRIDESMAID by Jennifer Faye is a
wonderfully
entertaining, contemporary romance and I happily devoured
every page. Jules and Stefano are both damaged souls, who
are
allowing their tragic pasts dictate their present and
their
future. As they try to ignore their new feelings for each
other, it is fascinating to watch their inner struggles.
The
author's description of Rome and the vineyard,
effortlessly
transported me there, and I could almost smell the city
and
the country. I highly recommend BEST MAN FOR THE
BRIDESMAID by
Jennifer Faye, and I am so glad to have discovered this
author.
Planning her sister's Italian wedding only reminds Jules
Lane of how far away she is from finding her own true
love.
And worse, she's doing it alongside the brooding,
mouthwateringly handsome best man, Stefano DeFiore.
Maybe the bride?
Having seen the destructive power of love, Stefano has no
time for weddings—but Jules's smile is captivating.
Making
her feel like the most beautiful woman in the world is
one
thing, but can he give this blushing bridesmaid a
happily-ever-after of her own?
