"gem of a Valentine's Day tale"

I can not think of a sexier scenic design or setup than a
log cabin engulfed in a blizzard and on Valentine's Day
to boot. How about playing a strip game of truth or dare
with a guy who had a habit of scowling at her. Well
UNDRESSED by Shannon Richard uses this as the entry to a
delightful sexy and smart romantic comedy that could just
as easily be a movie as a book. Once again I must remind
you that this is a novella so it is charmingly short and
sweet. There are times when the story needs to be
condensed and obviously Shannon Richard is very
conscientious about wasting any space. Instead of drawing
out a story Richard gets right to the point. This is the
second novella I've read by Shannon Richard and it did
just as it was designed to do -- it whet my appetite for
more.
Big hunk of a hockey player who would make any woman's
mind wander over possibilities but Abby Fields and Logan
James were on a public relations mission. A young man
coping with cancer treatments was a big Logan fan. Abby
and Logan were heading to Mirabelle Florida to boost this
young man's spirits. It would also give Abby a chance to
visit with some very close friends.
Logan was having difficulty wrapping his mind around how
this petite redhead wormed her way into her thoughts. As
a hockey player on the Jacksonville Stampede he had so
far pretty much avoided any of Abby's, the teams PR
person, attempts at recruiting him. Logan guarded his
privacy and had thus far pretty much been less than
hospitable and unwelcoming to Abby.
Logan prided himself on being a rough and tough hockey
guy surrounded by huge players and yet Abby was somehow
more intimidating. He was a little annoyed at how Abby
got him to agree to this visit. And he was determined
that this trip to meet a sick fan not be exploited.
What he never planned was getting so involved with the
mission and with Abby. Being with Abby and her friends
was reminding Logan of all he was missing in life. Now
just what was he going to do about it.
I love football and hockey based story lines so when
offered one I jump at the chance to review it. Shannon
Richard has won a place in my heart with this lovely
Valentine's tale featuring two great characters who we
will hopefully see more of in future books. UNDRESSED is
the latest installment in the Country Roads series
that
center around a great group of characters that live in
Mirabelle Florida. it was truly enjoyable getting to
revisit this lovely town and it's group of wonderful
people. If you haven't had a chance to meet Shannon
Richard yet -- UNDRESSED is a good way to get to know her.
SUMMARY

Now Logan's finding it difficult to concentrate on anything other than getting Abby undressed. But after a secret is leaked to the press, the taste of betrayal opens old wounds. If they can't learn to trust each other, they may risk losing more than their hearts.
