Evergreen Industries employees just received a memo
saying their data base has been hacked. Cole Evergreen is
positive the culprit is his former college girlfriend,
Taryn Harper. He dumped her because he couldn't reveal to
her that he's a wizard. She remains his only true love
and Taryn still loves him; she wants to see him again to
know the truth and to find closure or rekindle the flame.
He invites her over to see to their IT security, and
sparks fly high. In Naughty or Nice?, Vicki Lewis
Thompson does for geeks what she does for cowboys: a
strong story, sympathetic characters, and sizzling sex.
It's fresh, inventive, with several fun, seductive
touches.
Lark DeWynter is Ethan Evergreen's PR nightmare. They
would be dating were it not for "The Christmas Lie", a
book Lark wrote which threatens the very foundation of
Evergreen Industries. Lark harbours secrets, but can she
and Ethan overcome their ideological differences? She's a
Mean One by Rhonda Nelson is very entertaining and often
hilarious. There is a lot of chemistry between Lark and
Ethan and the banter between the two is realistic and
often very funny. The whimsical element that defines
Lark's behaviour is utterly delightful.
Noelle Frost came back to Evergreen Industries to take
over from her ailing father in Security; she is also Dash
Evergreen's ex-wife. She left him some years ago because
she felt neglected, and Noelle's magick is at times a bit
iffy. But bad news loom on the horizon: Santa is
rebelling, and it's up to Dash and Noelle to save
Christmas, and maybe try to rekindle their love. The
starting point for this story is just too hilarious to
mention; it must be read! Kira Sinclair's His First
Noelle is gorgeously written; it's sensual, touching,
clever, and very funny. I loved it!
Belle Evergreen doesn't drink cocoa like everybody else.
The Evergreen brothers' baby sister is a coffee drinker,
and her long, very erotic coffee breaks are shared with
smokin' hot Nick St. John. But a week before Christmas,
Belle's life is disrupted in more ways than one: Santa is
missing and a replacement must be found or Christmas will
be cancelled! Andrea Laurence's Silver Belle is the most
romantic story of all four. It really embodies the spirit
of true love and Christmas without being maudlin; Belle
and Nick are lovely characters; it's the perfect ending
to this magical book!
Throughout JINGLE SPELLS there are ingenious send-ups of
various Christmas characters, whether Rudolph, the elves,
and the very funny marital difficulties of Mr. and Mrs.
Claus. The four contributing authors have written a
coherent and thoroughly enjoyable book; their voices
blend perfectly to create Holiday magic. JINGLE SPELLS is
sweet but not cloying, with some delicious spicy moments,
tender love stories and some very amusing passages. A
real Christmas treat!
To protect Christmas, this family of wizards will have to
use a whole different kind of magic…
Part of the Winter clan, the Evergreen family is
considered
magical nobility. While Evergreen Industries in
picturesque
Gingerbread, Colorado, might look like an ordinary office
building, this is where the magic of Christmas unfolds.
Above Santa's workshop, the Evergreens hold court, manage
Christmas and, sometimes against their will and better
judgment, fall in love. When it comes to love, the
Evergreens know that sometimes you have to play a little
naughty to get exactly what—or who—you want from Santa.
Celebrate the holidays with Evergreen siblings Cole,
Ethan,
Dash and Belle in this enchanting collection from New York
Times bestselling authors Vicki Lewis Thompson and Rhonda
Nelson, Kira Sinclair and Andrea Laurence.
