Romance Historical

Harmon Ely operates a trading post in Texas and has this dream of turning his land into a productive town by placing an ad for perspective residents. After a husband and wife have settled on forty acres of his land, and work the land to create a life and stay in the rugged country for three years, he will dead the house and land to the couple free of charge.

Clint Truman is a devastated man who has lost his loving wife and two daughters to death. Drinking is his sole companion until he chooses either jail or an opportunity to begin again in Harmony. A stipulation that he takes a wife pairs him with a young woman from jail with a newborn son which opens a new life for him.

Captain Gillian Matheson spends all his time chasing outlaws while his wife waits in Kansas. He is intermittently home long enough to father four boys when his wife secretly accepts the contract to start a new life offered by Harmon in his new town. Changing his life to give up the army and his uniform might be a challenge when he finds out what his loving wife has planned.

Young Patrick McAllen has chosen to escape from his abusive father in the hopes of escaping with his life to begin a new one. Patrick and his young wife face the wilderness to grow into productive and caring people with strength and true love.

These three couples come together as strangers and become family. Fighting storms, outlaws and hardships they become united and strong to form their newborn Harmony.

A PLACE CALLED HARMONY is one of those stories that you will remember for a long time to come. I loved the characters and they way they each came into the people they were meant to be by finding a place of their own and someone to love and share it with. Jodi Thomas never fails to deliver. I absolutely love her plots and fulfilling tales of her characters finding their way.

Anyone reading A PLACE CALLED HARMONY will end with a feeling of contentment and warmth. You will definitely be in line for the next book in this series.
