so

his own.

to become entrenched in her new Portland home. But she
can't stay if she does all those who have become important
could be placed in danger. The drugged up pycho has killed
twice trying to get to her she's not about to let anything
happen to her friends. She just wants to indulge in one
night with the man of her dreams ... Jacko.

ever dreams up plus refusing to let her run again. He is
more than willing to put his life on the line ...but he
won't
be alone in the quest for her safety. Her friends and his
will do everything in their power. Is there a real chance
she could be free? Free to live? Free to love?
MIDNIGHT VENGEANCE is an action packed thrill ride. Author
Lisa Marie Rice writes in a way that throws you right into
the heart of the storyline and you can only hold on to the
edge of your seat and enjoy. Jacko and Lauren are a couple
who should not fit but they are perfect because they seem
to have a deep and meaningful understanding of each other
and of course are very good at burning up the sheets
together. The supporting cast and crew is intriguing in
their own right as friends and co-workers who will do
everything in their power for each other and those they
care about. I loved that the bossman says if she is his
(meaning Jacko's) then she is theirs too. The ending of
MIDNIGHT VENGEANCE gives a hint of the next one and I
cannot wait to get my hands on it. This one is definitely
going on my TRA (to read again) shelf.
Morton "Jacko" Jackman isn't afraid of anything. He's a
former Navy SEAL sniper, and he's been in more firefights
than most people have had hot meals. Lauren Dare scares the
crap out of him.
Gorgeous, talented and refined, she's the type of woman who
could never be interested in a roughneck like him. So he's
loved her fiercely in secret, taken her art classes, and
kept a watchful but comfortable distance. Until now.
Lauren had finally found a home in Portland, far from her
real identity, far from the memories of her mother's death,
and outside the reaches of the drugged-out psycho who's
already tried to kill her twice. One tiny misstep—a single
photograph—has shattered it all. She has no choice but to
run again, but this time she'll give herself a proper
farewell: one night with Jacko.
Their highly charged emotional encounter changes everything.
In Jacko's arms there cannot be fear, there can only be
pleasure. Anyone wishing her harm will have to pass through
him, and Jacko is a hard man to kill.
