A man wakes up with a mask on his face and no idea what is
happening to him. To remove the mask is to die as a voice
that he finds out is the mask is telling him. Now he must
use his new found powers for good. He voluntarily enters a
prison camp and the story begins.
KAMEN VOL. 1 is written and illustrated by Gunya Mihara .
The story line is quite interesting and the fight scenes are
well done and drawn. That is where the great art work in
KAMEN is. The background in some of the building pictures is
obviously done by computer and the lines are almost too fake
looking. It is a big contrast from when scenes such as
grabbing a sword with two fingers while in motion are drawn.
KAMEN VOL
1 is a solid story line and good beginning to a graphic
novel
series.
In a world of fantasy and might, a lone warrior emerges.
Kamen, a mysterious masked man appears among prisoners of
war in ancient Japan and becomes a legendary warrior and
defender of the innocent while his enemies rush to uncover
his secrets.
