Romance Contemporary

THE HOMECOMING is book six in Robyn Carr's Thunder Point series.

Iris has always loved Seth. They have been best friends since they were eight years old and she popped him in the mouth on the playground. They were always together, laughing and all through high school she even helped him with his grades. Until that one night. They were at a party and Seth was very drunk. Iris knew she had to get him home before he did something he regretted. She got him out to her van and drove him to a spot where he could sober up a bit. But instead of that happening, Seth crossed the line of friendship and came at Iris hot and heavy. Iris didn't stop him but the next day he had either forgotten what he had done or had no idea. Iris was heartbroken and vowed right then and there to never let him hurt her again.

Fast forward seventeen years and Iris finds out that Seth is back in Thunder Point. THE HOMECOMING is Seth and Iris's story. Iris has been doing her best to avoid Seth and he is determined to get her back in his life. He has no idea what happened all those years ago to destroy their friendship and all he knows is that something has been missing in his life. Iris. One day she finally lets it all out and once again, she hauls off and pops him, even though he is now the deputy in Thunder Point. Holy cow, she just assaulted an officer of the law! He could have her arrested. What else could possibly go wrong? You are going to have to read THE HOMECOMING to find out.

I always enjoy devouring Robyn Carr's books and she is without a doubt, one of my very favorite authors. I love reading her Thunder Point series and have always felt like I was one of the gang while reading about all the characters in this small coastal Oregon town. Carr has a wonderful way of pulling you right in to the characters lives and she does not let you go until the very last page. When you finish reading THE HOMECOMING you are left hungry for more. I was instantly caught up in Seth and Iris's lives and was cheering for Seth to win Iris over. Does he? Does she finally forgive him for the past and trust him once again? Read THE HOMECOMING to find out!

SUMMARY

In a small town, reputation is everything. In her latest novel, #1 New York Times bestselling author Robyn Carr explores the burden placed on a young man returning home to face his mistakes—the first step in claiming the life he was meant to live

At the age of nineteen, Seth Sileski had everything. A superb athlete and scholar, handsome and popular, he was the pride of Thunder Point. Destined for greatness, he lost it all in a terrible accident that put an end to his professional football career when it had barely begun. The people in his hometown have never forgotten what might have been.

Seth has come to terms with the turns his life has taken. But now he's been presented with an opportunity to return home and show his father—and the people of Thunder Point—he's become a better, humbler version of his former self.

Winning over his father isn't the only challenge. Seth must also find a way to convince his childhood neighbor and best friend, Iris McKinley, to forgive him for breaking her heart. With his homecoming, will Seth be able to convince the town, his family and especially Iris that he's finally ready to be the man who will make them all proud?
