Romance Erotica Sensual

Kimberly Kind is trying to get beyond her roots. Born from a crack addict mother who's disappearance has caused her father to turn to alcohol. Kimberly now a successful, beautiful lawyer working as assistant district attorney for New York County. Everything should be perfect, but inside Kim is struggling. Having to deal with the issues surrounding her mother's addiction, the betrayal of her best friend and ex-fiance, added to the stresses of her job, Kim is on her way to a nervous breakdown.

A girls' night out at a local bar Kim meets King. The perfect mix of sex appeal and swagger. Their attraction is instant and potent. After a few days together, their attraction turns to something more....something neither had seen coming. However, when she is called into a case meeting for her new case, her world get turned upside down, when the man the district attorney is going after is King.

When King comes to her, the smart thing to do would be to turn him away and not have anything to do with him. Whatever he is mixed up in could end everything she has worked for in her life...her family and career. However, her heart wants to hear what it is he has to say. But when Paul, her boss and ex-lover shows up at her apartment, it leads to a scuffle and lands one man in the hospital.

HOLD ME IN CONTEMPT is not your average romance novel. It has a more edgier and urban storyline that starts out slow in the beginning and rapidly steamrolls from there to the conclusion. So if you are looking for the night in shining armor so to speak, then this isn't the book for you. Wendy Williams' characters are complex to say the least. Built with many layers, this novel slowly peels back the layers and you don't truly see what makes them tick until the end. This is the first time I have read anything from Wendy Williams and will certainly be interested in see where she takes Kimberly and King's story next.

SUMMARY

Move over 50 Shades, there’s a new romance in town. Superstar Wendy Williams brings on the heat in her first ever, no-holds-barred, down and dirty, romance novel.

Kimberly Kind is trying to get beyond her roots. A successful, beautiful, smart lawyer, she’s finally finding direction in her life and getting out of the streets. But a terrible accident threatens to throw her carefully laid plans off course. Now Kim’s hiding a huge secret… one that could threaten everything.

Enter King. A perfect mix of Justin Timberlake and David Beckham, the man oozes sex and has more swagger than anyone Kim’s ever met. Their chemistry is off the charts. But after passion-filled nights, the intensity of their emotions takes both of them by surprise.

Love was not supposed to be an option. Now it’s the only thing holding them together. When their pasts come back with a vengeance, can love possibly be enough?
