Noelle O'Banyon thinks something is amiss when her
grandmother's friend dies suddenly. Lucy O'Banyon declares
that her friend was a picture of good health. Then she
mentions another old friend who died recently and was also
in good health. Neither of these friends had living
relatives. Being a police detective, Noelle begins to
investigate on the side, until her partner, Duncan
Cavanaugh, tells her they need to run it through their
Lieutenant. He gives the investigation his blessing, and
the hunt is on.
The deeper Noelle and Duncan get into this investigation,
the more they believe an insurance fraud ring is targeting
the elderly. Can they get to the bottom of it before
someone else dies? There are romantic sparks flying between
Noelle and Duncan, but each has sworn to stay single. Can
they keep it that way?
CAVANAUGH STRONG is the next installment in a long line
of "Cavanaugh" books by Marie Ferrarella. However,
you don't need to read the others to understand or enjoy
this tale of romantic suspense. Noelle and Duncan are
strong characters, surrounded by caring families and great
colleagues. The plot moves along swiftly, but is pretty
easy to figure out. The banter between Noelle and Duncan
brings a delightful element to the story to hold your
interest. CAVANAUGH STRONG is a quick summer read for those
who enjoy this genre.
Why are too many healthy seniors dying in nursing homes?

Duncan considers Noelle too straight-laced for his taste.

mysterious deaths, the crime-fighting pair become
closer—and passionately in sync. Now, before a killer stops
their bliss, can he and Noelle prevent the next murder in
Aurora?
