Once again, Marie Force has me crying like a baby! I WANT TO
HOLD YOUR HAND is the second book in her Green
Mountain series. This is the story of Hannah Guthrie.
Hannah was married to Caleb until seven years ago when he
was killed in the war in Iraq. She has been a mess ever
since, barely getting through life on a day to day basis.
The furthest thing on her mind is falling in love again.
That is until her friend, Cameron, convinces her to go to a
dance in town. There, Caleb's best friend, Nolan asks her to
dance and life as she knew it, will never be the same.
Nolan is struggling with his feelings for Hannah. Caleb was
his best friend and he misses him every single day. Would
Caleb hate the idea of Nolan and Hannah being together?
Would it be too weird for Hannah to be with Nolan? After a
bit of soul searching, Hannah agrees to go out with Nolan.
Both Nolan and Hannah have to deal with their own thoughts
and feelings about Caleb, as well as what her parents and
Caleb's, the people in town, and Caleb's Sultans, his group
of friends, might think about their getting together.
Nolan also has some secrets he's not ready to share with
Hannah. Nolan is very secretive about his family because
it's so dysfunctional. His dad is a drunk and his mom is a
drug addict. Hannah's family is next to perfect. At least
that is how he always thought of them. That is why he
doesn't share any of this with Hannah. She wouldn't
understand. No one knows about it except Skeeter, the odd
man who works for him, and because of this, Nolan keeps
almost everyone at a distance. How could Hannah love him
knowing about his family? Will he ever be able to tell her
the truth?
I WANT TO HOLD YOUR HAND is one of the most heart wrenching
love stories I have ever read. I want to tell everyone I
know to read this book. Hannah is a wonderful heroine. She
is strong, caring, and very loving. It is awesome to watch
her finally realize that she needs to move on after Caleb's
death. She sees how patient Nolan has been, and how much
he loves her. Marie Force hooks us right away through tears
of happiness and sadness, as their story plays out. I'm not
going to give away any spoilers, only to say that I WANT TO
HOLD YOUR HAND is a wonderful romance; at times very sad,
other times very funny, and at times very sexual and steamy.
I WANT TO HOLD YOUR HAND is not to be missed. Marie Force
has written a fabulous story that pulls at your heart
strings as you flip the pages, devouring every single word!
I love how Lincoln, Hannah's dad, and Elmer, Hannah's
grandfather play matchmaker without the kids even knowing
it. Their dialogue will have you laughing out loud.
For the Abbott siblings, the Green Mountain state has always
been an idyllic place to call home. But it isn’t until they
open themselves up to love that they’ll truly discover how
fulfilling life can be
Almost seven years after losing her husband in Iraq, Hannah
Abbott Guthrie isn’t sure she’s ready—or able—to move on,
but the attentions of a lifelong friend are making her think
about it for the first time. The memory of the sweet kiss
she shared with Nolan Roberts hasn’t strayed far from her
thoughts, but she also fears that pursuing something with
him would mean betraying her husband’s memory.
Nolan has loved Hannah for years, but he’d been giving her
the space she needed to heal from her devastating loss. Now,
when an opportunity arises to show her how he feels, Nolan
can’t resist, but he knows earning her love will take more
than a kiss. Somehow he has to prove to Hannah that finding
love twice in a lifetime is possible—and well worth risking
her heart.
