The premise of NIGHT OWL, the first book in the Night Owl
Trilogy, is what drew me to the story. Two writers join
together through the internet to write together. What starts
out as business soon transforms into sinfully seductive
meetings online.
Matt Sky and Hanna Catalano decide to keep details of their
personal lives closed as to not complicate matters.
However, by accident, more and more details are revealed,
acting as enticing teases for the other. I found these
scenes to be extremely hot, taking the unapologetic route
right from the very beginning.
Matt, the hero, comes off strong in the beginning. As a man
who knows what he wants and how he wants it, it doesn't
require much to correctly determine which path the story
will take. However, I found it difficult to connect with
Matt's character. He goes from hot to cold too often and too
quick, leaving Hannah no choice but to deal with it. I also
wished that the sex that occurred could have had a lead-in
where Hannah was more involved. As a result, the romance
felt unbalanced. But since NIGHT OWL finishes off with a
happy-for-now ending, I wonder what obstacles lie in their
way next.
NIGHT OWL offers a titillating experience with a private,
but dominant hero that is sure to intrigue readers with his
mind and body. If you enjoy possessive, dark heroes, then
Matt might be the perfect fit for you.
At twenty-eight, Matt Sky has the perfect life. He has a
beautiful girlfriend, a massive inheritance, and four
national bestsellers -- all penned under his airtight alias,
M. Pierce.
At twenty-seven, Hannah Catalano is a train wreck. Her
boyfriend is a deadbeat and her job is abysmal.
Matt and Hannah meet online as writing partners. Their
relationship is safe, anonymous, and innocent...
Until Matt sees a picture of Hannah. Hannah's picture sparks
an attraction Matt is powerless to ignore. When circumstance
brings Matt and Hannah together, the strangers begin a love
story that's passionate, poignant, unforgettable, and
unstoppable.
